drawing is REALLY hard wtf today’s the first time in about a month that I’ve been able to sit down and properly focus on a drawing and goodness gracious I need to shake this rust off omg

I always have this irrational fear that if I take any time away from drawing, I’ll come back to it having forgotten how to draw maybe that fear isn’t so irrational haha :’)

I should mention, I’m not upset or angry or anything; I’ve trained myself to not put much value in the numbers from X to begin with it’s more so just incredibly baffling to me that this is how the website treats the people who make the content on it yknow - it’s just so comically hostile

averysoftpear 🍐 @averysoftpear.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

it’s genuinely so insane to me that on X, if you retweet something that doesn’t resonate with your audience, the website will punish YOU for it what’s the point in even having the option to retweet if it just punishes you for using it, I genuinely don’t understand

but then I reposted some tweets from other creators and it seemingly tanked my reach my British elf drawing only gained like 250 likes and it seems like my momentum has been completely halted

I had a hot streak going on X earlier last month to the point where my Stevie in space drawing got 3.8k likes or something crazy this came off of the back of other posts that had done pretty decently, gaining over 1k likes each and it felt nice to have some momentum

hello everyone my partner has recently started testing positive for COVID and we’re isolating from each other for the foreseeable future unfortunately this means I don’t have access to my usual drawing setup, so you can expect a major slowdown on new drawings HOWEVER,,
