This feels like someone saw those old Hotwheels PC games that were, in retrospect, kinda mid, and went "What if we had fun making them and gave them polish" and I'm here for it. Small vehicle go fast in otherwise house-shaped thing at small scale is a hell of a mood.

A woman's place is absolutely in the kitchen. Right beside me. I need her to help me taste test because I only have a perfect mapping of what I like to eat, not any of my partners or their friends and that makes it hard to cook for parties.

Coming back to this, it's a lot of money even to me, but I guess that's because I grew up where '100$' was a lot of money. It still feels like a lot of money. But I have the capacity to save for the 'frivolous' expense that makes me happy.

As someone in an okay position where I make enough to put 1/3 of my check directly into savings, pay bills/essentials with ~1/3 of what's left, then.. I can prioritize joy. Since I'm burning hours of my life, that feels important. but that is a 'lot of money' for some people, and it weighs on me.

The terrifying aspect of this is how few people understand that this is *still a high level overview*. It took me *weeks* to dig into one tiny aspect of Fiber optic networking, and that's built on top of a ton of other pieces of technology that themselves need maintained.

I bet ya can't shapeshift into an absolute goofball. You... no it... doesn't count if you already are an absolute goofball... and this photo is rock solid evidence of that fact, so. Time to give me the badly crinkled pack of gum you've got in your pocket, pay up.

Real talk - with all the nonsense age verification stuff to access the internet sparking up... part of me would love to go back to faxing lists for artists. I realize most folks don't have a fax machine anymore, but, a dog can dream

I said it to a friend - if we're gonna have the Super Badonga 9000 Tiddy Wigglies, then we can have gifted men who only maintain decency by the plot armor built into their banana hammocks. It ain't for me, but discomforting those who think everything is meant to cater to them is funny and fun.

Why do we have a dozen different modern rewrites, retakes, and retreads of Dracula, Frankenstein, and even old pantheons? At least part of the consumption comes down to - some of us were impacted by that media, and wish to take or see another spin on it. It's why there's so much homebrew for TTRPGs

I'm buying 3 and wearing one to the range with the stupid Overly Waifu Anime Sticker gun case with the "BATFEces" hoodie. I will make *EVERYONE* uncomfortable to claim me as part of their clique.

This is what eventually lead me to the Pegasus meme "I've rolled the attack dice" "You didn't roll shit" "I have rolled them". (I still mostly play Mechwarrior/Battletech tho, sorry Lancer </3)

I remember having this as a laptop wallpaper in like, 2012 or so. I.. a year or so ago? felt this deep need to re-locate it, with only the vaguest of memories. This was my first real introduction to Furry culture back in that era; outside of Starfox and movies of the era.

The thing that immediately jumps out to me is the saturation. It took me a second to ... 'mentally lock on' to the character from the background in the 2nd image, vs the first where I just happen to know where he's at. Feel like that's important for... well all games, honestly.

Alright, time to save up cash dollops to throw at you to draw more... well, everything you draw, really. If I get a bill like this I'm just gonna go flop next to a tree and hope its roots eat me.

E.G: This thing that happened is not your fault, so I do not demand or otherwise expect your empathy, but it is appreciated. Please do not feel that you are required to provide emotional support; I'll be okay. This view of it is likely just a result of my particular experience of the world.

AverkosWolf @averkoswolf.bsky.social · 05/11/2024

I respond with "not your fault" at expressions of empathy as a way to absolve them of a perceived obligation of empathy. I am not sharing something sorrowful or frustrating or otherwise distressing out of an attempt to demand empathy in response to it; a reflexive empathic response is not my goal.

@vyletpony.com I just wanna say; thanks. Antonymph has been a genuine positive thing for me, for my life, for my happiness. Even if it brings me to bawling tears every time I listen to it, I still go back occasionally. Because sometimes I just need it. So again, thank you.

It feels like forever ago that the era of the internet this was made to idolize existed. But parts of it are back, here. in a way that I didn't anticipate. Normally, I curate my feeds pretty aggressively, but I haven't had to here, it feels. It's not a perfect replacement, but it's certainly nice.

Alright someone made me ask; Are there any good mice, with programmable thumb buttons in a decent arrangement (I'd like minimum of 5, preferably 6 or more) and a ring finger button? I wear out middle click buttons so fast I just always re-bind it to ring finger. EVGAX15 is discontinued.

AverkosWolf @averkoswolf.bsky.social · 19/10/2024

I picked up a Corsair Darkstar to replace my EVGAx15. I liked the layout of the Thumb buttons on the X15, it was very nice to have an almost D-Pad. I also really wish more mice had ring-finger buttons :c
