Wrapped up this batch of #Battletech minis by cleaning up some errors and finishing the bases. Glad to have knocked them out at last.

Did the weapons for all of these #Battletech minis, and also the cockpits for the vehicles and Lyrans. Still have to do the Falcons' cockpits, the bases for everything, and the washes on the Lyrans but they're almost done!

Did some more work. Finished the grey on the Falcons, and did the silver for them, the Uziel, and the vehicles.

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

More progress! Another layer of blue for the Lyrans, I started adding the grey panels to the Falcons, and I added the dark brown splotches to the vehicles.

Some more progress on the current batch of #Battletech minis. Some more layers of the metallic green on the Jade Falcons, the first coat of blue on the Lyrans, and the vehicles get the medium brown splotches to start their camo.

Decided that after all that #Battletech priming I'm gonna paint a little bit of everything at once so I don't get sick of any one thing! Here's hoping I don't get sick of all of it at the same time instead...

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Primed all my remaining unprimed #Battletech Lyrans and Jade Falcons. Not sure what I'm gonna paint next but I've got lots of options!

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Got all my #Battletech vehicles primed! Not pictured are the triples, quadruples, and quintuplets that I don't need (sometimes due to already having them in metal). They're all getting a desert camo scheme, except the Visigoths which are going to be Jade Falcon Zeta Galaxy (green with grey accents).

Went to the CNE today and bought my first ever blind box because it was Gundam characters in pyjama of their mobile suits! Too cute to resist! I also got these lovely earrings from Jeelee Joolery to help fill out the colour palette of my accessories!

Finished my Legion of Vega #Battletech minis! Also 4 other units! With these out of the way, I think I'll be spray priming a bunch of stuff, especially vehicles, while the weather is nice in preparation for the next seasons.

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

I've been continuing my work on the rest of my Legion of Vega #Battletech minis as well as Ace Darwin's Panther and a FedSun Battleaxe. All that's left to do is the basing on them.

1111

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Finished two of the non-Drac #Battletech minis I've been working on. The Wasp has been half done since 2023 but I don't play Capellans often so it was low priority. The Wolfhound is for my Merc force, Ecliptic Coven.

Took a glamour group shot of my completed Legion of Vega #Battletech minis at yesterday's weekly game with @fochtsnetwork.bsky.social at @hairytarantula.bsky.social! Only the Hatamoto, Guillotine, and Ostscout were in the game but with the other players we managed to hold off the Smoke Jaguars!

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

As promised to myself I got more #Battletech minis painted. Did the silver, details, cockpit, touch ups, and painted the bases before doing the actual basing. I chose to start with these 8 so I can use them at my next weekly game in a Draconian Combine focused scenario.

I need to get back to painting #Battletech minis. Couldn't do it while a friend was visiting, but now I can set up my painting station again. I've got 20 mechs that are close to being finished. Just need to do the silver, details, wash, and basing... Not that close to done apparently 😅

Had a good night of #battletech Alpha Strike with @fochtsnetwork.bsky.social at @hairytarantula.bsky.social ! *Technically* I won the match but really the third party Aces controlled Smoke Jaguars won since I couldn't get the primary objective completed. #miniaturewargaming #miniatures

Last week's outfits. Bit of a mixed bag: looks for beating the heat, making the best of what I have, wanting to wear my pencil skirt, and going to a goth dance. #selfie #transselfie #transwoman

The last 3 #Battletech minis have their red panels done! Next will be doing the detail work for all 20 of these; lasers, metal, cockpits, etc!

Wrapped up a 2 year City of Winter game with @knalliso.bsky.social, @sifsweetman.bsky.social, and @sniperserpent.bsky.social. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday evening!

This crazy week's outfits (not counting my Trans March fit I posted earlier). Friday and Saturday were SO much walking followed by dancing, with only 5 hours sleep between them. Thank you Monster for keeping me awake. #transselfie #selfie #transwoman

Yesterday I had a great time at the Pride vendors, the Toronto Trans March and then going dancing! I fucking love this city and being trans!

After playing @mint-rabbit.bsky.social's TTRPG Protect The Child at BreakoutCon this past March I enjoyed my depiction of the pre-gen character I played so much that I commissioned this great art piece of her from @oldmanhadrian.bsky.social!

Last week's outfits! Wore my new blue dress out for the second trans shopping trip that I organized to help nervous newbies try looking for clothes in person. We had a good turnout of more than a dozen folks and almost everyone found something to buy! #selfie #transselfie #transwoman

Another two #Battletech minis have gotten their reds. I'm especially happy with how the Highlander came out.

Another two mech session of #Battletech painting but it didn't feel like a short one; Assault mechs just take that much longer to do!

1130

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 08/06/2026

Plus some new work dresses that I got today! They're all high cotton content pieces so they're breathable and machine washable, and the blue one even has pockets!

Short #Battletech painting session today. Just did the red on these two.

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 30/05/2026

More pink for Ace Darwin, a purple arm & leg for the Wolfhound, and a Lance's worth of red panelling for the Legion of Vega. #Battletech

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

I forgot just how big the Atlas is compared to other mechs, and thus takes longer to paint. It took longer than the Ostscout and Whitworth combined. This #Battletech paint scheme is SO much faster than my Lyrans 😭

3110

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

Spent my afternoon and evening brush priming these #Battletech minis black and then drybrushing most of them grey. They're Legion of Vega once I add some red panels and the details. The pink one is for my Ace Darwin and the turquoise is for a Merc force plus I wanted to test out my new paint marker.

World building for #TimePassesRPG can be lots of fun. What DOES a world that has "trains" but lacks the Industrial Revolution, look like? How do rail lines shape the world over 500 years, especially when the most recent 50 are nearly apocalyptic winter (due to the moon falling of course).

Avalyn Ramsay Games @avalynramsaygames.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

I'm really happy with this chunk of notes about magic in #TimePassesRPG. I always knew that I wanted belief to be an important part of how magic worked and these ideas helped lock that down.

I finally finished this batch of #Battletech minis! I'm especially proud of the field stone wall on one of the squad bases, and the panel lining on the Gunslinger. I also finished off this Javelin and added some basing to these Savannah Masters since they were out already.

2 more outfits from my 1st week out at work. I liked the blue top a lot at first but I realized throughout the day that it didn't fit as well as I thought. The white top I didn't like to start, but its cute style grew on me, especially once I put on a ponytail. #selfie #transselfie #transwoman
