Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Every character in B Movie is inspired by a real figure from 1950s Hollywood, whose life took one different turn. Their careers are on the line. Their relationships are complicated. Their secrets could stop the cameras rolling. Fortunately... The Stage Manager already has — we hope — a Plan B. 100
Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 14/09/2026In the B Movie larp, the Stage Manager sits at the centre of the web, working with producers, directors, writers, runners, props and effects to keep one gloriously underfunded production alive. 100
Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 14/09/2026The old hands will tell you every successful picture has a genius behind it.The smarter ones know that behind them there's also somebody with a schedule, a process... and the authority to keep everything moving and on track, even when it’s all on fire! 100
Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Welcome to another working day in Hollywood. The Stage Manager knows who's late, who's hiding, who's pretending to rehearse, and who's quietly falling apart behind the scenery. Clipboard in one hand... aspirin in the other. 100
Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 14/09/2026The leading man seems to have vanished. The alien spaceship's still wet with paint. The overstock of film has gone missing. The director wants Scene 27. The writers have only finished Scene 26. Lunch was supposed to be twenty minutes ago... and somebody's locked the monster in the broom cupboard. 110

Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Every character is inspired by a real figure from 1950s Hollywood, with history taking one crucial wrong turn. Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Of course, this is B Movie. Nobody gets to stay in one department for long. The effects crew might find themselves in front of the camera. The lighting designer gets called into the cast. Everyone mucks in. Everyone makes the picture. The movie must be made.bmovie.orgHome - B Movie 100
Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 30/07/2026The second works miracles with light and shadow. The Lighting Designer can turn a village hall into a haunted castle... a patch of woodland into another planet... and a leading actor with three hours' sleep into a silver-screen idol. Shadows hide the budget. Light sells the dream.bmovie.orgHome - B Movie 100
Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 30/07/2026If it falls apart halfway through the take... well... that's why they keep a team of unwilling "volunteers" nearby. Funny how actors always seem to disappear when it's time to carry the spaceship.bmovie.orgHome - B Movie 100

Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 28/07/2026On Invasion of the Atomic Space Witches, the Acting Coach is shaping performances one minute, running workshops the next, coaxing miracles out of first-timers, forgotten legends, and tomorrow's stars. Then... they're in front of the lens themselves. Nobody escapes the spotlight for long. 100
Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 28/07/2026That's the funny thing about Hollywood. Everyone arrives pretending to be somebody else... and spends the rest of the picture trying to figure out who they really are. 100
Avalon @avalonlarpstudio.bsky.social · 28/07/2026They don't just teach lines. They dig. They prod. They ask the dangerous questions. Who are you? What do you want? What are you hiding?
