Thank you! I do like pixel art, but I do tend to go towards more detailed style. 😅

I told myself that if I keep scrolling portfolios I will find something stunning. I'm glad I was right. The mellow colours build such a lovely atmosphere in your work.

I do enjoy that style of mapmaking - places of interest get their own mini illustration. Great works.

Your maps are poetry. They inspired me to sketch a few for my home games. I love them all. Myth Drannor is so great. I really want to play some ttrpg now. 😁

There is something amazing about those four pieces. I can't put my finger on it, but the mythological feel is top notch.

Avalassanor @avalassanor.bsky.social · 5h

Fingers crossed. I will be looking out for any news of it. My partner would love to play it too for the sheer love of dinosaurs :)

My partner would fall in love in games with your art in it. He's very sentimental about using pixel in games. :)

Oh, my. Your art is wonderful. I need to find some more time later today to look at these imaginative pieces. So evocative. I'm glad I stumbled upon you. 🧡

Nice! I love to make maps with points of interest being captured by small illustrations. Great works and I like how vivid your colours are.

Lovely watercolours. I never got the hang of them, but it's one of my favourite mediums to adore.

Avalassanor @avalassanor.bsky.social · 12h

If we could only get your version of La belle dame into museums, I'd be so happy. That's my favourite painting ever, so your take of it, I must adore. 🥰

Your art has such a fun old-school feel. Great dithering, but the way you nail the atmosphere. Amazing.

Avalassanor @avalassanor.bsky.social · 12h

I love 5, 8 and 10 especially. I have weakness for landscapes such as those.

Avalassanor @avalassanor.bsky.social · 12h

Oh, yes. So you are the author of the famous woolly cow. 😄 Love how pastoral the colours are in that piece.

010

Avalassanor @avalassanor.bsky.social · 12h

You have a great light work i your pixelling. Very inspiring. You should be making scenes for games. 🥰

Avalassanor @avalassanor.bsky.social · 12h

I love the atmosphere of your pieces. It works for the paleo theme. Makes me think of some first paleo magazines I read as a kid. I'd love a game with art like this.

Hi #PortfolioDay! I'm Avalassanor, a pixel artist and fantasy writer creating around a full-time job. I love space, and writing stories about relationships between men, from friendship to love. One day I'd love to bring it all together in my own adventure RPG. #pixelart #fantasyart #art #gamedev

Pixel art of Erion, a fiery gas giant in space. It appears brown and maroon, with bands of orange, from dark to bright, representing fire storms raging across its atmosphere, while its right side fades to a pale, dusty tan. A green aurora lights its north pole. Behind it, deep blue streaks swirl through dark space and stars twinkle. The artist's signature is in the bottom right corner "Avalassanor 26"

Pixel art of supernova GRB 250314A at the moment of its gamma-ray burst, based on an illustration by NASA and STScI, Leah Hustak. Against dark blue-green-purple space full of stars, a small lumpy blue cloud glows at the centre where the star is exploding. Two thin jets of light shoot out from it in opposite directions, each ending in a bright white-purple blob, one towards the upper left and another towards the lower right.

Pixel art landscape of Kamchatka's Klyuchevskaya and Kamen volcanoes at dawn. Three snow-capped peaks glow pink in the first light under a soft lavender sky: a broad snowy mountain on the left edge, a symmetrical cone with a reddish tip in the centre, and the tallest, jagged peak on the right. Below them, dark rolling foothills give way to a band of golden-brown dry grass and a strip of dark green reeds at the edge of a still lake, which mirrors the mountains upside down in pastel pink and lilac. Signed "Avalassanor 2026" in the bottom right corner.

Pixel art portrait of Henry of Skalitz from Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, shown from the shoulders up . He has short, tousled dark brown hair, thick brows, blue eyes and a short stubbly beard and moustache, with warm, sun-touched skin. He wears a dark green high-collared tunic fastened with a small gold clasp, and a hood draped around his shoulders. The background is plain olive green. The artist's signature is in the bottom right corner and says "Avalassanor 2026".

I love how masculine and sensual your work is. The expression of your lines feels perfect to me. 🤎 I can't wait to try figure out if my pixel art would let me make paint some hansry! 😅

010

Avalassanor @avalassanor.bsky.social · 15h

#HenryOfSkalitz in pixel art! Now I need Hans. 😈 I'm in my second month of pixelling and bravely thought, what if I combine #pixelart with a thing I love: #KCD2. A new avatar and trying out a portrait style for my own game one day make the perfect excuse to paint Henry. 😇 #art #fanart #kcd

Aww, that's so beautiful. I actually prefer this version. The clothing colours add something cozy to the composition. You've captured the moment wonderfully. ❤️

The sight of morning and evening light warming up the snowy peaks always fills me with a sense of calm. #pixelart of a wonderful sight in sub-polar region. A concept art for my #indiegame project. We start south of this sight and venture north, far beyond. #mountains #art #gamedev

Three snow-covered mountain peaks tower on the horizon. They are sun-kissed by the setting sunbathing long shadows across their lower reaches. The rolling hills at their feet are purpulish-green from hardy shrubs. Closer still is a field of yellowish-brown grass until it meets a band of reeds bathing in calm waters of the lake, which reflects the three peaks in its surface. A world and it's reflection in one.
