It's a rainy, rather than snowy morning here on the Isle of Wight, but it's the Winter Solstice! Bring on the lighter days! This is Shanklin Old Village photographed on the rare occasion that we get a dusting of snow.

We've been on Bluesky for over a year, but I've neglected our account until now, it will be fun sharing old favourites like this one. This was taken at the end of a grey and rainy day in Chale. There was a gap on the horizon as the sun set. For all of 30 seconds the colour was spectacular.
