Now you can opt out of having your posts shown to non-followers in the Discover feed. We know not everyone wants to go viral. Sometimes you're just posting for your followers. This is one of a few updates we're working on to give you more control over your experience and help you find your people.

At Tuta, if Chat Control 2.0 is passed we have two options: to move out of the EU or sue and fight it. As our CEO, Matthias Pfau has stated, we would sue and fight for people's privacy. Because for us, undermining end-to-end encryption is not an option.

Yesterday was a sad day for the privacy of citizens in the EU. In light of yesterday's vote, we wanted to remind you that: Chat Control 1.0 is different from Chat Control 2.0 in that providers (like us at Tuta) are not forced to backdoor their end-to-end encryption for surveillance.

Wir konnten uns im EU-Parlament nicht durchsetzen, die Chatkontrolle kommt. Ein schlechter Tag für Bürgerrechte und den Schutz von Kindern im Netz. Kinder müssen besser geschützt werden, aber mit gezielten, effektiven Maßnahmen - nicht als Vorwand zur Massenüberwachung.

FYI: by turning off "Smart features" Google also turns off spell check and the promotions & social tabs. So to "enjoy" all feature in Google, you must give consent to AI tracking. That's privacy blackmail and should be illegal.
