Anyone who's posting publicly to social media as part of their job should *absolutely* include alt text, and frankly more people should be giving big organisations and politicians a hard time for failing to. They're *doing their jobs wrong* if they post inaccessible informational images.

I don't personally think we should give small accounts a terribly hard time about including alt text to make their images accessible: you should be doing it if you can, ask for help if you can't. just found out I'm on a blocklist that's supposed to be ppl who are against a specific o/ne pie/ce ship so: I don't watch/read op, I watched it as a kid but remember nothing.
