I am on day 4 of this migraine, which is absolute shit. I love autumn, but it doesn't love me back. The reason I can write but can't edit is because I use different devices. Every book I've written has been on my phone. My computer monitor is too bright & hurts my eyes when I'm like this.

Current word count: 44,617. I think the only genre I can give this book is spec fic. It's a dollop of mystery, 1 cup of drama, an entire package of social commentary, and just a pinch of sci-fi, baked on high for 7 days & iced with queer & autistic rep.

Sorry, I misread. Making a fool of myself 🙃 To answer what you asked 😅 In my experience, authors will sometimes have specific questions. Otherwise, I find it's good to ask how thorough they'd like it to be & take notes while reading. A beta isn't a developmental editor, but there's some crossover.
