Had an amazing time the Colorado Festival of Horror - the weekd was both exhausting and refreshing to be around so many fellow weirdos 🖤❤️ (Made a new post because bluesky labeled my Saturday fit as too suggestive 😅) All other pics are on my insta haha

REPEAT is along the bottom, sideways because a writer's work is never done. It brings you back to the beginning. It took me forever to get that repeating staircase look right omg. I used the black circles to tie every card together and add some impact to the design. What do you think?

IDEA was the easiest. The brain. The source of doom and gloom and inspirations.

EDIT was more difficult. I didn't want to be too on the nose. I went with the image of a ghoul reaping the field, cutting down the words and making the field lean. Representing the hard work to trim a story down, how brutal it can feel. 5/?

SUBMIT was easy because it often feels like you're throwing your work into the void and waiting for a response. It's hard to see in the inked version pic, but for SUBMIT, originally the void was smaller and I didn't like it so I used a white paint pen to correct. 4/?

My first idea for WRITE was a wraith wrapped in parchment holding a pen but I thought it was too literal I guess? I went with a specter bleeding out the words since writing can feels like that sometimes haha. You can see I kept the parchment theme, just minimized it. 3/?

For my process, I sketch out the design in pencil. I don't have any fancy pencils, I use just a standard writing pencil haha. I then ink the design out, erase the pencil. 2/?

A little behind the scenes peek into my artistic method. Inspired by a tarot writing challenge started in the Dead Languages Podcast discord. I had an idea of a writing tarot spread so you have the 4 stages & then the infinity card below. The struggle & trial of every passionate writer! 1/?

Did a group Dead by Daylight costume for a friend's birthday ✨️✨️ me as Huntress, hunting down some pesky survivors at Anderson Farm 🖤❤️ Had to buy the mask and axe but made the whole costume myself out of thrift store finds, sewing, and craft foam!

Mothman coming to a bridge near you... Had an amazing time at a comic con with amazing friends! I'm so happy with how my costume turned out since it's my first proper costume project I've finished since I started self teaching myself sewing. I stayed up to 4am even 🫣

My dad only ever wants zombie books so Xmas means a time of trying to find new zombie zeries for him. Met @jacymorris.bsky.social at Bizarrocon and was set in Nov. Dad's already cracked into the first one and is really enjoying it!

Tomorrow I'll be at the Makers Market at Fiction Beer Company, come say hi and grab some great last minute gifts! Why wrap you gifts in paper? Blah, boring! Put your gift in a heart tote or cross body bag! Cute, reusable, and you'll be supporting a local artist!
