Kai and Georgia have been friends since they were babies. She spent more time at his grandma's house than at her own partly because they were best friends and partly because her parents were never home. #CRPSirens #CampRevPit

The main road through my hometown brings back memories from my childhood. All of them include Kai. The ice cream shop we always loved. My favorite bookstore where he would find a graphic novel and read while I browsed for hours or talked to the owner about what I’d been reading. The town square where we ran around during the town festivals.
Wind whips through my open windows as I make my way to Lois’s house on the outskirts of town. The long driveway makes me nostalgic for the old days when things were easier. The gravel crunches beneath my tires. I pass the spot where I wiped out on my bike and Kai carried me into the house when we were kids. The first tree I ever climbed. The trails through the woods we liked to run through.
