Just wanted to update everyone, I'm still in the hospital, needed to have kidney surgery. They will be moving me to a PT/rehab center nearby to heal.

Happy Wednesday. I'm getting ready to head to the hospital, in far too much pain, and no food will stay down. I strained a stomach muscle and literally had to motivate myself to get out of bed. I can't pull myself up. Kitty is fed and watered; hope they only keep me overnight.

I'm in really bad shape. I think I pulled a stomach muscle or ?? I was up most of the night in pain, couldn't pull myself up, and literally had to sleep from 11-am-4. I managed to get up, put some pants on and take care of my cat. I took my pain pills and trying to stay hydrated. May need ER

I'm very surprised at the lack of response from these folks in office. I hope you don't mind me saying this, but it seems that they are just figureheads who make laws and consider us just another number. How sad is it that someone needs help and is just ignored.

I contacted the Rio Rancho Mayor's office yesterday (Sandoval County) and left a voicemail. There's no one actually in the office over there. Of course, there was no response. Today, I wrote a very respectful email explaining that there are no resources for seniors who are suddenly displaced.

I have a call in to the Rio Rancho Mayor's office. I've been trying to get some help. I also found out that the Rio Metro Van Service does not come out this way. They stop service at Rainbow Road, which is the last paved road out here; they do not come out to a dirt road. WTAF?

I cannot even begin to tell you what I have been through with social workers. The system that is in place, which is supposed to protect us, is completely broken. I have spent three weeks running all over town, making calls, visiting offices, and I have exhausted myself and made myself sick.

I have decided to simply accept my fate. I'm tired of fighting; far too much stress. I've called every state agency, and there is no support. So be it. Back to life, and whatever happens, happens. I've been out every day and making phone calls for two weeks with no help. 🤷‍♀️

Trying to stay positive in a very dire situation is taking a lot of strength and prayer (yes, I do pray; you can call it "good vibes", or calling in energy). The stress has severely impacted my health, my ability to eat, or sleep. I'm doing my due diligence, but so many roadblocks. 🙏

I'm going to bed. I've had enough of this day. If anyone in Albuquerque knows of any safe women's shelters, please let me know. It looks like I'll be heading to one shortly. Maybe I'll get lucky and die in my sleep, because that is the only option I have right now. Death is better than homelessness.

I'm making a heartfelt post here because I need help. The property owner went into default, and there was a foreclosure notice posted this morning. I'm not the homeowner, and I have 7 days to vacate the property. I'm a cancer patient, I'm under medical care, and have an 11 yr old cat.

Well, I've done everything I can, including getting a state social worker involved. I've made calls up the wazoo, with no assistance available, or not being able to get through the lines. I guess this gal is going to be HOMELESS next week, and sadly, I had nothing to do with it.
