Made it to the library yesterday afternoon again! Really moving on this project now. I scribbled like a madwoman for 2 straight hours. I’m so excited for what’s coming out of my head!! My lower brain: it’s terrible and you should stop immediately. 😐

On a desk sits an open notebook with the writing blacked out and an orange gel ink pen ready to continue writing. Above the notebook is a cup of coffee, and a little pencil holder that looks like a latte holding multiple colored gel pens. To the left of the pencil holder is a copy of the novel “Loch of the Dead” by Oscar de Muriel.

I like to do my skeleton drafting by hand, but that means every so often I need to give myself a recap 🤣

A blank notebook page with the heading “backstory recap”

Current audiobook for when I’m walking or working in the lab at my day job or doing chores around the house. Already can’t wait for the next one. I hope @ilonaandrews.bsky.social is gonna give us an Arabella arc!

The audiobook cover for Ruby Fever by Ilona Andrews featuring the main characters Alessandro Segredo and Catalina Baylor. Alessandro is an attractive dark haired man in a white dress shirt and black slacks, his bow tie undone and hanging loose. Catalina stuns in a body-hugging thin-strapped ruby red dress, her dark hair flowing out behind her.

I have multiple books that I’m reading at the moment. This is my “sitting at my desk with some downtime” book. Do you have more than one book going at once?

Red, black, and cream colored book cover of “Something Wicked This Way Comes” by Ray Bradbury. Stars decorate the top and bottom and the cover has an overall carnival poster feel.

Here’s to another afternoon at the library! Every weekend my hubs and I take turns getting out of the house for some solo time to ourselves while the other one watches our little beasties. Lately, we’ve both been heading to the library to work on our WIPs. #booksky 📚💙 #writerlife #amwriting #writers
