I've been revisiting Heroes and in my memory the first season was fantastic and then it kinda petered out. Well...the first season is actually not fantastic. It starts strong but then the end is really unsatisfying and messy. The seasons after that range from not interesting to excruciating.

I have probably whined about this on here previously but after attending #ACLFest last weekend, I have a renewed dislike for "sprouts." I will never understand how useless, plastic shit that you ordered from Amazon that will end up in a landfill and never biodegrade aligns with the ethos of PLUR.

We had to replace our Numark M6 mixer that we use in our record room for a new one and in the updated version they decided to change the sound level lights from green, yellow, red to red and white. It's so unnerving to reprogram my brain that red lights = levels are good and white light = clipping.

I just saw a friend’s Letterboxd ratings for the month of August and they rated Totoro lower than Camp Miasma, which just feels insane to me. I enjoyed Camp Miasma but Totoro is a 5-star film.

Dolly was the physical manifestation of kindness, compassion and unconditional love. Such a counterpoint to our current times. Her death leaves a huge void. We were lucky to have her. We’ll be watching one of her movies tonight for sure. (And of course listening to her music)
