Yesterday I found Emily, our senior Calico, had passed away during the night. She was about 14-15 and had some thyroid issues. She was not the most affectionate cat and had her one person (my mom). But she was a loyal and constant companion. We’ve never had a pet due at home naturally before so it

Emily on a purple striped towel by the tub in the bathroom. You can see her white front and paws, which I believe is called a tuxedo look. You can see her calico splotches of tan on her black long hair easier. Her green eyes really stand out in this picture.

Margo, an almost two year old canary island dog, almost all black with pieces of wood cut from a tree. Yes they are tree limbs and she likes to carry them and chew on the ends. She’s on a coolaroo, which is like an elevated dog bed. Like a camp cot.

Margo, my mom’s 90+ pound black shadow canary island dog we adopted from a shelter destroying a curtain to back that had a tassel on it. She wears a bandanna that I believe says she’s trouble.

Peter Parker, an Abyssinian Tabby Mix, curled up and sleeping. He had black toes beans (all black) and can be very vocal. He is the cutest Peter Parker.

These were mine about 3 weeks ago. I don’t recall the variety name but it grew really tall and I do love the two tone color!

Lilacs that are dark purple with white on the edges. Tree is tall, probably 8 feet, and unsure of the specific name of this species but taken on an overcast day in April 2026.

This one is close to half done and the other is about at a third done. I had lofty aspirations y’all.

I have finished my first ever crochet shirt for myself. I’ve made doll clothes and baby clothes, scarfs, shawls, even mittens but never anything like this before. Solid orange is Caron Simply Soft in mango, which might be the simply brites line. The striped stuff is a mohair yarn probably meant

I have been busy making gifts for two friends who are having babies fairly soon. Both are having girls. One likes things pretty feminine so she’s getting the lavender and purple combo. The other wants gender neutral so I opted for a pale yellow with a rainbow variegated. It’s how I’m staying sane.

Two pullovers made for the 12-18 month range for babies. The bottom one is made with lavender chenille yarn and a purple variegated yarn that has dark purple to a medium kind of pinkish purple. Green buttons put on with dark red thread finish it off.
The second one is slightly small because different yarns using the same measurements will be a little different. This one I opted to use a lemon yellow baby yarn (it’s a specific type of yarn) and made the base 3 rows shorter just so I could add the rainbow variegated yarn to the bottom so it matches the top part. I decided to go with yellow buttons on this one just to make it pop and the baby yarn is fine enough that I used it to attach the buttonsI tend to make or give baby gifts for older babies because everyone usually go for newborn items forgetting that babies grow! Plus I am hoping when they are older, both children will see these things and know that they were made with love.

I’m hoping @debbiecrochets.bsky.social can offer an opinion on this. My friend, who struggled to get pregnant, is pregnant and wants gender neutral colors. I saw this yarn and thought it fits the criteria. It’s supposed to be dessert flowers inspired (the colors). Just doing basic HDC too.

Peter Parker is not an overly affectionate cat. He’s not a ginger like Henry is or a demon child like Myshka. He’s Mr cool, Mr aloof. But he has started to come up for so e attention this past two months. I brush him out, he gets belly rubs and attention. Sometimes he sticks around .

I do not often share pictures of myself, but I am proud of myself. I’ve lost more weight and can button up my Ben Sheffield thrift store find over a turtleneck. Slim fit too. Yes as a cis female I buy men’s dress shirts. More shoulder room and they don’t shrink. Plus it worked for Katherine Hepburn.

This is a more recent picture (I think he was 16 or 17). His color did fade to a peachy orange color. The other one is Henry, who loved Morris. I still have Henry, he’s currently 6.

We adopted a dog from #CCAC She is Margo (we are dropping the T). She’s still growing and has huge feet! Very sweet and playful.

Boots arrived yesterday. Brand is Chicbloom and very comfortable. Very roomy as my calves are a little under 18 inches but they look decent and no issues wearing them for ten hours. I still think it’s ridiculous that the average calf size of women is 16 inches and boots, on average, is 14 inches.

Looking down at my new Chicbloom boots in black. They are an equestrian style and have a low heel. The opening gaps around my leg as they made to fit a range of calf sizes. Wearing tan leggings as well.

You know what? Timeline cleanse. We need it. So here’s a picture of a frog that was stuck in a window well last Saturday. My brother lives kitty corner to a wetlands preserve so he kindly tries to save frogs. My niece named this one Bumpy. Bumpy was released without incident amount the hostas.

Yesterday was the sixth gotcha day for Henry James. He was 13 weeks old when I adopted him. We celebrated with a little wet food, catnip, and snuggles. He was very happy at the end of the day.
