Last call for one of these PAX Aus pass holders for PAX this weekend. Feel free to DM me if you want one custom made (ill also probably have a couple of 'blanks' - those without a name on the plate, for anyone who decides they want one on the day)

MicroProse is also doing some amazing work; both in funding indie oddball projects, and also massively pushing game preservation by bringing old games up to modern compatibility. Its rough out there, but it's heartening to see that there are SOME publishers not being inherently evil and scummy.

I still have to finish AC7, and there's always more Nuclear Option so I'll be good for flight sim stuff... just FOMO hits hard when everyone seems to be loving it

I hope everyone playing the new Ace Combat has been enjoying it. I really want to play it myself but I can't justify $110AUD for the base version. Ill grab it in a few years when the price has plummeted... until then I'll just live vicariously through others.

Love the sabre bayonet! Very keen for the new update; it'll be so fun storming RG East with a bolt action and bayonet, especially for fleetfooted characters. Keep up the amazing work!

So proud of my wife for this. It's been so hard keeping a lid on it these last few weeks. Hope you all love them!

No stream tonight friends. Sorry for the late notice but it's been a LONG day and I'm just fried. On the plus side, saw Resident Evil and it was pretty exceptional. I'll be live for the Thursday stream as per normal though!

I love this piece, but it makes me wonder... does Guyver count as a magical girl transformation?

One foot in the grave already. Sadge.

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Seems like they're banned now. They sent me one earlier but I didn't accept it and now it's gone from my pending.

010

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I haven't made one of those in a LONG time. Hopefully I get a table at a dealers den somewhere next year though and I'll be making a new batch.

020

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

The pass is the same on the backside, so there's no issue with the QR code or any details hidden. If you want any changes to the colours, i may be able to accommodate that depending on what I have in stock/can source at short notice.

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

For anyone going to PAX Aus this year: if you want to bling out your pax pass a bit, I'm going to be selling these custom pass holders. Price will be $50aud and I can put any text (within reason on the nameplate). Feel free to DM me for questions ans more details.

Think I'm gonna take tonight off stream friends. It's been a long day, I'm tired and my mental is in the toilet. I'd prefer to take the night off rather than do a sub-par performance. Should be back tomorrow night though! Thanks everyone <3

To whoever made my Whopper tonight: you ok friend? Aside from it looking like they packaged my burger using a hand grenade, check out how many pickles there were in a singular burger.

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Fair enough. I've only played Awakening and Three Houses and loved them both, so I suspect I'll love this new one once I eventually get it.

110

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

If anyone has the new Fire Emblem game, lemme know how you like it so i can enjoy it vicariously through you. I know it's worth getting, but at 95-120AUD for it... it's a real hard sell for me, especially with PAX Aus around the corner.

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

And what's even safer, is to talk with them on a DIFFERENT platform if you can (steam, bluesky, twitter, etc) as it's less likely that all of them have been compromised. It's far safer since if their discord has been compromised you can't trust their messages anyway

080

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Yeah it's kinda similar here in Aus. If we want to pay high shipping we can get any flavour but the local Aus site with cheap shipping only has half a dozen flavours or so.

110

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

And it's rat time! Gonna be playing some Barony (most likely) and just hanging out! Hope to see you there! twitch.tv/aussiegrif

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

It's another stream! and guess what? More WarDogs! Gonna be chilling with the waifu and some friends as we be bad at this game. Should be fun! twitch.tv/aussiegrif

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

So i didn't really watch any of the Nintendo Direcr, but i checked out the VoD for the new Fire Emblem game... and I have a NEED. I really enjoyed Three Houses (and Awakening before that), and this game looks like it'll be all that and more.

060

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Early rat stream? You betcha! We got some delightful gaming hours with the illustrious @belbasaura.bsky.social and her crew playing Aliens Fireteam Elite 2! Should be a fun time so I hope to see you all there! twitch.tv/aussiegrif

0113

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

I use the "Expanded" Multitrack mode on my RODECaster Duo so every slider gets send as a unique audio input device, so having the Main Multitrack was a completely redundant audio capture anyway so there is no change to my actual working setup. Hope this maybe helps someone else too, it was a pain.

080

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

So... guess who just finally diagnosed why they had a memory leak in their streaming PC that was causing the hourly crashes. Not going to do a massive write-up about it but the tl;dr is that "RODECaster Duo Main Multitrack" was leaking page file like crazy when listened in as an audio input source.

1151

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

It's 3pm and you know what that means? It's stream time. With the new WarDogs playtest up and going this rat is off to war. Come hang out @ twitch.tv/aussiegrif

So after almost two weeks of streams dying... I *think* we've fixed it. Fuck CoolerMaster and their garbage coolers and their borderline hostile mounting systems (i did not pick it, this cooler came preinstalled on this motherboard and its the worst PoS I've ever had the displeasure of using)

080

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I really need to get Tomba 2 on PC. Still got my OG ps1 copy and loved it to death

010

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I really hate tech sometimes. Something between Windows and the RØDECaster Duo software all my audio for stream keeps being absolutely ruined. When I bought my gear I paid a premium to get high quality stuff and it seems to make zero difference. Hopefully I can get it fixed; it's been demoralising

One of THE BIG things for me was how they have set up strafe so that ranged units can be more manoeuvrable without making them completely useless during the fighting

110

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Main thing that brought this on was I've been inhaling Total War: Warhammer 40K and damn it looks good. All that I've seen gives me hope that CA have really taken the time to finally get ranged combat correct and I'm so keen. Jealous of the content creators that got to play the GamesCom demo.

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

I know that there's a lot of gloom about the games industry right now (take your pic as to what to be upset about), but I just want to appreciate that there's been some BANGERS recently and there's some great games (hopefully) on the horizon.

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Id suggest using Soundbooth Theatre rather than Audible for anything Dinniman related. Soundboard produce the Audible version but their in-house version you can get through then directly is a full-feature audio production (if that sort of immersion is worth it for you)

100

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

I've listened to all the ones that are out now (finished Parade of Horribles). It's gonna take a lot of time and money to get all them in book form too but I love the series that much its worth it.

100

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Went to the local bookstore today. Got little man a little book and decided to treat big man (me) to a big book. I love DCC (and the rest of Dinniman's work) and wanted a physical copy to go along with the audio book version

2161

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Yeah i was super keen for it and played the playtest on stream. Back during the test it was full of AI portraits and the VO sounded very generated. It's a real shame that they didn't course correct after people were complaining about it.

110

Aussiegrif @aussiegrif.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

No stream tonight friends. With Mega being away and little man being an absolute goblin today, I straight up just don't have the spoons to stream (and if he wakes up, I'll have to deal with him and juggle stream). Will be live tomorrow for our regular night stream tho!
