I feel like there was a rise in 'shortstack' threads in adult-oriented areas of the web like 10 years ago, focusing on stuff like Midna from Zelda, and they helped everyone realize that goblins and kobolds -could- be drawn as entire races of shortstack figures if the artists so chose. And they did.
