Before I cut the already cut Rainbow Island length from May 16, 2026, to March 19, 2026, there was a planned final update to Rainbow Island that would've explained the shortened conclusion to the story.

Before BOTH cuts to the length of Rainbow Island, here is what my planned story was going to be. The Time Machine was going to be brought over to Coral Castle and be used to cause the HUNTR/X plane to crash into the gas station, destroying it.

Rainbow Island v1.13 (Coral Chaos): Originally planned to be 44 days long, was set to be 135 days long after the cancelation of future updates, and now it's only going to be 77 days long due to pulling the plug on the map sooner than originally planned.

We really downgraded hard from getting 4 free Epic originals per Fortnite Music Pass to getting 4 free stock songs with two of them being AI slop (Paz the Wicked and Cepha did not deserve to have their faces thrown on the covers of AI slop Jam Tracks).

Since these updates are most likely being scrapped, I decided to put together map concepts for both HUNTR/X Havoc and Rainbow Remix so you could get an idea what I had in mind in terms of map changes for both of these updates.

There are 2 days left until Rainbow Island v1.13: Coral Chaos releases, and here is a small piece of the full Hopeful Havoc v2 song included in the update. Internally, this is v22, while the original one was v5. Hopeful Holiday and Hopeful Halloween are both derived from v12.

The reason why I'm leaving some snow in the Coral Castle area in v1.13 is because I specifically design Rainbow Island so that it keeps stuff from every single update in some way, shape, or form.

Rainbow Island v1.12.20 will NOT release on time today (9 AM EST). I haven't even worked on it LOL. I'm considering canceling the update entirely as there isn't much I need to add other than the Wingsuit and with the map winding down, I think it's fair to just make v1.13 the next version.

I loved the ongoing story I was building with Rainbow Island and I hate how the story that I wanted to keep going for a very long time had to be cut short. My #1 desire right now is to build another ongoing story or series or project of some kind (100% not in Fortnite LOL).

Due to the recent decision to scrap everything past v1.13, here are some logos I made for future updates that got scrapped. Ruined Reality (v1.16) would've been the transitional update between the first and second maps while Rainbow Island OG would've launched with it to preserve v1.15.XX forever.

By the way, I'm still considering the idea of discontinuing Rainbow Island after v1.13 due to my distaste with the direction the Fortnite ecosystem is going in. I know it sucks that I've been putting out a lot of hype into future updates only to still consider stopping the updates.
