Man, Palia is DARK. It's easy to forget running around gathering materials and giving gifts in the cartoony world in between story patches and then you start doing quests again and BAM people killing their own kids by accident and serial killers and cartel slavery.

Congrats on the launch to the only game I've ever had 1600+ hours in before it was even technically fully released!

My partner's really big into Dune: Awakening so I've been playing a bit of that the last couple weeks. I have been unexpectedly really enjoying it. I just found out about spice hallucinations. Dune players: What's the craziest spice hallucination you've had?

I got really busy preparing for a couple different shows I have paintings in and didn't have time for games and pop culture. Am I back? Not entirely sure yet but provisionally yes.

Somehow I missed the announcement that Foundation was ready for full release. It's come a long way since the last time I played. It had a lot of promise and I'm happy to see watching here that it looks like they've fulfilled that. youtu.be/Gl_fz2yCnWE?...

What games are you playing today? For me it's Timberborn. In between dealing with a cranky parrot who kept getting woken up because we insisted on celebrating new years and is now acting like a toddler who needs a nap and refuses to take one

Was leaving a group discord voice chat yesterday & specifically only wished people a Merry Christmas, thinking Hanukkah and Solstice were both over and I'd chat again before New Year. Didn't realize Hanukkah starts tomorrow this yr. Hope I didn't accidentally hurt any feelings. Sorry to you if I did

I'm experimenting with building on an angle in the #StarsReach pre-alpha. I'm the kind of person, you give me a rectangle and I will figure out how to turn it into an oval. Can it be tipped sideways? I will. Does light shine through it? It's my lamp now. Also a couple shots of the player city.

I love everything about this I'm already imagining that Iron Teeth Metropolis with an extensive subway/sewer and the Folktails far flung vertical farming districts connected by skyways Apparently I spent 75% of my (steam) gaming in #Timberborn in 2024. I'm guessing that will continue into 2025

There's a player city popping up in the #StarsReach pre-alpha. I set my homestead near the city but not in it (yet). I missed last session so I want to figure out the building tools before I join the rest of the city. Or maybe I'll stay up on the hill here and build a scenic overlook for tourists

Pro tip: If you're a rando, commenting on a woman's presentation to say she was "cuter" when she did some thing or other, is creepy and sexist. Go to hell.

Oh, and update on the #warcraft pie: I couldn't even tell it had almond meal in it. Not grainy at all. Recipe made way more than 1 pie so baked extra in ramekins and ate it for breakfast with cream and rolled oats on top. It was fantastic. Crust was meh. Recipe overworks the dough and it was tough

We're a geek household. We make only the most traditional pie. #worldofwarcraft but seriously, I've never tried this one. It's got almond meal in it, and I am curious what it does to the texture. I assume it will taste good, though. Happy Turkey Day!

They really went all in on "what if the Doctor was a gritty vigilante" and put Peter Capaldi on it with Devil's Hour didn't they? Complete with a couple lines lifted right out of Doctor Who directly. Brilliant as always of course. But a bit on the nose yeah? Can't wait for season 3
