Maybe I'm the minority, but I would 100% take the last 10 years of Cleveland baseball over this.
Screencap of a Twitter Tweet or maybe it's Threads, I dunno I'm not on either one.

Back in I dunno 2022 or 2023 we stayed in a hotel with the kids after not traveling for their entire formative years because of COVID and then Long COVID, and we stayed in an hotel room with one of these: My oldest asked what it was and then flat-out refused to believe me, getting mad about it.

Also, when we were visiting Cleveland and our plans for the day got cancelled, we walked to the WWII submarine museum ship. And I took this picture because I was impressed that the clock still worked (as if I don't also have very old working clocks)

It's been a long week. A long month. A long 250 years. That means something. It means we get to cry out in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night." And it means at least one good thing:
Pepperoni and mushroom pizza on a grill. Two pizzas on a stove top. One cheese. One margarita.

Apparently the Social Security Administration is sending out propaganda now. I have no idea why I got this. I do not collect social security.
Making Life More Affordable for America's Seniors

This weekend, America celebrates its 250th birthday. For over 90 of those years, Social Security has provided financial freedom for America's seniors. President Donald J. Trump and the Trump Administration are not only protecting Social Security, but we are providing meaningful and immediate relief to older Americans who have spent decades contributing to our nation's economy.

Just last year, on July 4, 2025, President Trump signed into law the Working Families Tax Cuts Act. This historic legislation included a tax cut that allows Americans 65 and older to keep more of their hard-earned Social Security benefits. Thanks to President Trump, over 35 million American seniors received an average of $7,500 in relief this tax season.

If you did not take advantage of the President's signature tax cut for seniors, I encourage you to review eligibility requirements through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website for next year's tax filing season.

Under the leadership of President Trump, we are protecting and strengthening Social Security while providing world-class customer service:

    In SSA field offices, we've reduced wait times by 30 percent;

    On the phone, we've answered calls 75 percent faster;

    We're meeting the needs of seniors in the digital age with 24/7 access to online my Social Security accounts;

    We've increased the number of personal my Social Security accounts to over 100 million users and have processed over 100 million more transactions this year;

    For disability claimants, we have reduced processing times by 25 percent; and

    Our efforts to prioritize efficiency, streamline our processes, and decrease wait times are saving Americans time while delivering the highest quality service.

Put simply, America's seniors are winning! I'm honored to be in your service.

Happy 250th birthday, America!

Frank J. Bisignano

It's been a long week, even though it was a "short" week. So much to do the last week of school. So many end of year events. But we made it. We're still here. And so are you. I'm tired. But it's Friday evening. And that means something. At least one good thing.

Deeply weird to see a whole video about the moral panic around ragtime that just ignores why there was a moral panic around ragtime being "animalistic" and pretends it was about the music not sounding like Beethoven. I wonder why there was a Scott Joplin moral panic, but not Ravel.

When you have even The Daily Caller coming out against datacenter water theft, you would think this could be an issue Democrats could make something out of.
Screecap of a post by The Daily Caller:

A data center campus in north-central Georgia consumed more than 29 million gallons of water without the local utility company initially realizing it, triggering low-pressure water flow to its host community, Politico reported Saturday.
The 615-acre Fayetteville-based data center campus, codenamed “Project Excalibur,” was found to have one water connection installed without the knowledge of the Fayette County water system, and another that was not linked to its developer’s account and therefore was not being billed, according to the outlet.
