Got around to getting some new hubcap inserts to spiffy up the look on the new white walls I got! Buffed and polished the hubs as well to make them shine more! Replacing the weather strip around the tail lights next. Wheel pics in comments. #Buick #classiccars #restoration

It's been a good long while, but not much has changed in that time. Still cleaning the gasket area on the block for the intake. Though, I did get the intake itself cleaned up and painted fresh! Looks pretty nice in my opinion! #Buick #classiccars #restoration

The Carburetor is just plain dirty and is in need of deep clean and rebuild, unfortunately had to pull the Intake off as well, pretty good shape save for where the Carburetor attaches. Getting that fixed now. More below in replies. 1/2 #Buick #classiccars #restoration

Took my carburetor off. This is a lovely find. Seeing the stud bolts most of the way rusted through and snapped cause there wasn't a damn thing there to prevent from turning. Well, at least the back two studs are fine. I think. Carb pics soon. #Buick #classiccars #restoration

Small update, made some new vent lever knobs for the climate control, need to replace the left lever as it broke before I got it. Also, finally got the front tires on! Rears will be soon, but the drums had to be turned a little more! Very soon! #Buick #classiccars #restoration

Got my new water pump, painted it, and have it installed! It looks good, not a perfect match in color but it'll work for me! Master cylinder gave issues, so that is what's next on the list, hopefully this time the brakes will actually be done! #Buick #classiccars #restoration

Got the brake hoses installed finally! Also discovered the auxiliary heater motor actually does work, which is an awesome find, and the master cylinder is painted and ready to be assembled and installed! Getting there! #Buick #classiccars #restoration

Took a break from the brakes and got the dash plate off to replace a burnt bulb, got fooled and eventually did get a new bulb in there. Did recover the missing left turn signal plastic and reinstalled it! Everything looks good now! #Buick #classiccar #restoration

Got the master cylinder apart. Unfortunately, after cleaning the bore, a nice heavy rust pit showed itself and it is basically cooked. Sending it off to be re-sleeved and repaired so I can safely stop my 2-ton classic! Wheel cylinders have come in! #Buick #classiccar #restoration

I lied, master cylinder is coming off before the front drums! Surprisingly, it had liquid in it, though the pipes are basically bone dry. I'm going to look into the bore and see if it's worth saving or just better to replace entirely. #Buick #classiccars #restoration

Succeeded in getting a 1985 Compaq Plus back to a working state and cleaned up! Looks almost new now and is happily equipped with a compact flash upgrade! Some before and after shots provided! #Vintage #Computer #Electronics
