‼️A note to our authors about AI scams. Please be wary of any communications about your books that do not originate directly from AU Press.
There are a number of AI-generated scams circulating that target authors. Many of these scams express interest in hosting an author for a book club or reading group while others are posing as editors. The scams use AI to pull specific details about individual books and are enthusiastic about helping authors reach a new audience. The scams often reference established, legitimate book clubs and use email addresses that do not immediately appear as suspicious.
