What's a poster you had in your room growing up? I liked Lego and the Space Shuttle, so this was perfect for me. I even had an extra copy to put up when the first one got too ratty to keep up.

After he passed, I went through my father's photographs, which were mostly from the 60s through my youth in the 80s, and there were some amazing pictures. My favorite was this "selfie" from 1966, in his Air Force barracks.

Man, I haven't seen anything this historically accurate since Asylum's attempt this very year! I mean, just look at this historically accurate poster!

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there! I am thinking about my own dad, who passed away a few years ago now, and it always makes me want to share one of my favorite photos of his, from his time in the Air Force in 1966, well before I was born.

Egyptian history gives us a good plan on how to treat any monuments to Trump that exist once he's out of power. Keep accurate records of him, but treat anything glamorizing or memorializing or otherwise promoting him as the pure garbage it is.

Cartouches of Hatshepsut were defaced in an attempt to remove her memory from Egyptian history. While we should not forget Trump, we CAN scrub his name from anything that isn't a record of what he did.

Here's a shot of the lawn next to the walk covered in chunks of sleetstone. Shoveling yesterday, I got all my walks and driveway cleared in 30 minutes. Today it took 2 hours and I didn't even get to the driveway.

Shoveling earlier today, and I really regretted having done so yesterday around the time the snow turned to sleet. Sleet crust on top of snow is annoying to shovel, but not that hard. 2-3 inches of sleet on bare pavement? It's a fucking sedimentary rock. Literally.

I love when low-budget scifi movies have models covered in model kit sprue trees for greebling and then the movie does a loving, slow pan over them just so you can see how obvious it all is. It's beautiful.

Last Saturday my computer crashed a couple minutes into my AD&D game, and the fragment created a great example of how the YouTube algorithm greatly prefers short-form content over long-form. All of the extra views it has here are algorithmically promoted.

My father would have been 80 years old today. After he passed, I found this picture he took while in the Air Force in 1966, and the composition of it has really stuck with me. Happy Birthday Dad!

He and his Pentax camera are in focus in the center, as is portions of the background behind the mirror, but the items behind him and farther in the background behind the mirror are not, creating a very artistic juxtaposition between focus lengths.
