Today I'm wearing Paradigme by Prada. I got a sample of this. Opens with nice citrus and spices, w/some florals in the middle. The base hasn't fully developed on my skin yet, but the musks are coming through nicely. It's a nice warm scent with just a touch of spice. #perfumesky #fragrancesky #SOTD

Today's #SOTD. Wearing Shaheen Gold today. It's that perfect PNW day, where it'll be in the 70's mid day & cooling down into the 50s after dark. The fruity opening (mmm fig) and pineapple always feel rather bright for the first few hours, but mellows over time with the tonka and vanilla.

Todays #SOTD #fragrance I really like this scent. It's got this oceanic vibe that feels bracing and fresh on opening, and dries down over the day to a warmer, post shave feeling. I like it a lot. Especially on days like today where it'll be warmer (low 80s today)

because his lack of change, his constant harassment and abuse, & his lack of acceptance of my homosexuality wasn't tolerated by me and I had cut him off. And now he's alone, in a crumbling castle of cat piss, flying roaches and firearms. He alienated both of his sons & killed 3 of my mothers 4 cats

My father likely resented me for being a gay boy not just because of his strict religious and military beliefs, but because in some ways my mother treated me like a daughter, and I was punished for it. Now she's gone, and only my father's faggot son remains. He told me I'd be a bitter & angry man

My mother was a complicated woman, who wanted a daughter but got two boys. I was her final child, not by choice, but by the selfishness of my father. My mother never forgave him, nor did she nurture me. She loved me, but there wasn't warmth there. Just a desire for a little girl. (cont).

In the prose, I'm a middle schooler, returning to school after my father has died. And it was full of grief, and how the world just moves on while you hurt. I was never a better actor, given I would have had no love lost for my abusive father dying. In 2026, I lost my mother. I still don't feel it

UIL stood for University Interscholastic League, which was an extracurricular where you could debate, do prose, and a number of other nerdy things. I picked "Serious Prose" because I was #sadboy and could bring emotion. The piece my teacher picked for me to memorize & perform was about parental loss

My mother died June 13th. I found out shortly after we got home from the Ren Faire. Her hospice nurse (she had been on hospice for three years), called to tell me we had minutes or hours, but it'd be that day. She passed shortly after this. When I was in middle school, I was part of UIL (cont).

super common as an autoimmune disorder (like my psoriasis). It's amazing how calling it low thyroid vs a disease changes how you view and experience something that can't be "cured", only treated.

My doctors wrote that I had hashimoto's disease. I looked it up online, and I found a whole bunch of people citing it as a disorder for which they feel they need disability. Most everyone in my family has it, yet that was never an option cuz it was just the way it was. My docs said it was (c)

I really do think how we describe a disorder and how it's explained to us changes our experience. I was diagnosed at the age of 15 with an "under active thyroid" and put on thyroid hormones. Yes, it causes issues of fatigue and weight gain, but it is what it is. Years later (c)

I'm a member of a local Facebook group that's sort of a "buy nothing/free cycle" idea, and I swear to god that unemployed people who want free stuff somehow are the most and least available people. Don't commit to me dropping off something in a public place for free and then ghost me. 😭
