I am someone who loves breakfast-- give me all the waffles and sausages and hot cereal and scrambled eggs and and and but I am not a morning person and most of the time can't be assed to make anything. Today's breakfast is raspberries, leftover hard boiled eggs with Irish breakfast tea.

ANYWAY! before I log off, here's an update on my Hudson: The surgery went well and he is already home. He's eating well and using the litter box, and generally in a good mood despite everything that happened the past few days.

Yesterday Hudson ended up at the emergency vet for no appetite, lethargy, and vomiting. He has a stricture in his urethra and spent the night in hospital with a catheter. My day today is going to be spent trying to find a surgeon that can see him ASAP

Knowing what I do of those Dutch settlers (Schenectady founded 1661, burned to the ground 1690), I don't doubt that the area was uninhabited, mainly because the diseases they brought from Europe killed an incredible number of the indigenous people before the Dutch even spread upstate.

RS with your home river I grew up in the Mohawk valley and lived for a time about a block from the river. It's said that the Dutch settlers in the 1600s found a bend in the river that was lush, fertile, and strangely unihabited.

You can see that the fringe on my scarf is a little more uneven and a little longer than the burgandy scarf. One of the joys of crafting is making something exactly how you like.

Hiya, Womble! As always, it's nice to see you. I'm making my way through Chuck Wendig's "The Calamities", but as it's the last couple of weeks of summer, I'm busy and it's taking me longer than I would like. It's good! I wish I had a few hours to sit and read! I did take it to the beach.
