Hooded Mergansers #ducks diving for frogs on the pond this morning. They made their annual appearance this week - a little early this year. #birding #kitsap No sightings of a male yet.

I found this birding book along the side of the road on the Tamiami trail in the Everglades on 8/25/25. It is so well loved with sightings going back decades. If you're a birder (I am not) please spread the word and hep me find the owner so they can be reunited

Nevada bumblebee on the lupine. I believe this to be a Nevada. I've had them the last few years on bee balm. This one has a light colored top of head and I've not seen that before on the Nevada.
