I'm excited about all of the artists signing up for the anthology and for the writing submissions we've gotten so far. It's shaping up to be an excellent book already. There's still a few weeks to apply: forms.gle/wJoVTq5bDZL9...

Just finishing up Throne of Jade and I have to say that #temeraire has a very interesting focus on culture. I like seeing how the different countries have different perspectives on dragons. It is a much slower paced series than I expected going into it, but it's enjoyable, nonetheless.

I've just finished reading the first arc of the Warrior Cats series and all I can think is "That was a lot of violence for a children's book." Really enjoyed it though!

I really love the way the miniature pin came out, but I think we need to send it back to shrink the base to a single inch.

Conventions can be hit or miss for a lot of indie creators. Our first few were definitely flops, but we've gotten A LOT better at making small and medium cons work for us. We turned a profit at 10 /11 conventions this year, and the only exception was breakeven. Here's how we pitch.

Here's the first half of my 8-page comic coming out in the anthology Concrete Arcanum: Living With Monsters 26 days left on the Kickstarter! www.kickstarter.com/projects/nat... Below I'll explain it a bit!

title/first page of The Dance by Jack Taylor showing a statue of a trans man wearing workout clothes. He lifts his arm dramatically to the sky. He is draped in police tape.

second page. a woman with red hair looks up at the statue while other people in the nearly empty square rush away, glancing with curiosity and concern. It's dusk and a jacaranda tree covered in purple flowers is in the background

night now, the woman from before returns in a pink dress. pink grafitti directs her with arrows and says "join the dance" across the plinth where the statue stood. the statue is no longer on the plinth, but a stone eagle perches there. A gargoyle flies past the woman, surprising her

page 4, the woman follows the gargoyle into a happy night time party with creatures and people meeting happily. there are statue cats, a tortoise and hare, a jobber, and others meeting. The man from the statue before looks up at the gargoyle

I want to write a romcom comic book, but I don't know if anyone would actually want to READ it. Romantic comedies are like my comfort food. I like to watch them when I'm stressed, and I'm usually stressed about something.

Balancing my time between writing comics 📖, promoting them 📣, and all the behind-the-scenes work 💼. Anyone else in the #comics world feel this juggle? I feel like I spend more time thinking about what to do vs actually doing it. How do you prioritize?
