The one SOPPA agreement (Ilinois NDPA) they signed says No students under 13 in the Ex A. Instead of signing a new clear doc they signed another Ex A . It is confusing. Even with an actual request they refused to sign a new SOPPA. I worked with them for 2 months and they refused. #ImDone

A4: We have to remember that Gen AI is in its infancy stage and will just keep innovating and changing. AI itself is already deeply ingrained into everything we do, we just don't always notice it. I think it will be common place just like google search is now. Think about that. #EduSkyAI

A3: We have a partnership with @magicschoolai.bsky.social and our dipping out toes into student use with this tool. I have also used @schoolai.com to create spaces to share with students. One of our therapists created a "safe" space for a student to talk about hygiene.

#EduSkyAI A4- Inherent bias in AI that is very prevalent and we need to watch for these and report the issues. Almost every tool I have seen has the ability to report thumbs up or down on results. When I ask for a female astronaut and get a sexy curvy lady with a lowcut "spacesuit" I report it. Bias

#EduSkyAI A3-AI can help you to create very personalized tools in seconds. Put the lesson in then ask it to make the lesson relevant to different kids, cultures, strengths, levels. The potential is limitless, but you always have to watch for the hurdles: bias, hallucinations and outright mistakes.

#EduSkyAI A2-AI can be your thought partner or brainstorming place. AI can give you ideas beyond your initial thoughts. Admin tells you, you will now teach this. Pop that topic into AI and ask for ideas, ask how to create UDL lessons, ask for different levels and so much more! Game changer!

Our view is AI isn't going away and we want our staff to know the "responsible" way to use it. We are a special ed cooperative and AI has given back time to our staff not just our teachers but our therapists as well.
