During the second press conference, organizers celebrated the anticipated unanimous approval of Bond's resolution to push forward on Beltline rail. When asked if they would be OK with rail starting on the Southside instead of the Eastside, Bond said, they did not care, as long as rail got underway.

At the first press conference, Council member Kelsea Bond read off a resolution that will reintroduced at the end of the meeting apologizing to members of the Reemerging ACDC task force for, essentially, wasting their time now that the detention center is likely to continue existing as a jail.

Kiran Kimbrough, the former Atlanta Police Department officer who killed Johnny Hollman, 62, during a routine traffic accident investigation, will not face prosecution. Hollman's family announced Tuesday that a Fulton County grand jury failed to indict Kimbrough.
