Ah, so the whole "em dash is a sign of chatGPT usage" stemmed out of corporate emails?? Lets be clear. In normal conversation, yes the em dash is far less common. In novel writing, that's a different story entirely. 1🦋

Are Em Dashes Really a Sign of AI Writing?

Viral posts and clips on social media suggest the em dash is the product of AI chatbots, with some calling the punctuation mark a 'ChatGPT hyphen.'

A good book doesn't boil down to how well it's written or how well the story is told. It isn't how surprising the twist is, how creative or in depth the magic system/worldbuilding is, or how fleshed out and developed the characters are. It's not the prose or the imagery in the words.

Some of the best advice I've ever seen came from musicians. They were debating releasing "older" music because the newer music was more exciting to them. The producer said, "it's old and boring to you because you've been listening to it for years. To everyone else, it will be new and exciting."

Mission accomplished. I have sold 69 audiobooks. Please, everyone, do not purchase a copy of my audiobook Armitage. Despite how amazingly well performed it is and how talented all 4 of my narrators are, the golden comedic sales number has been achieved.

Watching Season 6 Episode 10 only Game of Thrones and I think a study should be done on the dichotomy of evils portrayed here. People unanimously hated the High Sparrow as a fanatic and how he treated the spoiled rich elites.

Hey Audible, can you explain how audiobooks differ enough from ebooks to justify you taking ~85% of the royalties vs the 30% you take from ebooks? Most authors already spent $3k+ on their audiobook, and all you did was house the data. Why are we only getting ~$3 from a $15/$20 sale? #writesky

Don't use pity to market your book? Marketing is hard and there are really no rules. Be honest in your marketing. If you're lying to your readers to try and get more sales, that's wrong. But if you're feeling down, don't let someone guilt you away from sharing that. #writesky
