It's funny but it's also frustrating because it's inherently dishonest. He's pretending to be a democratic socialist because the kids online think it's cool but to the extent his policies work it's not going to really be a vindication of democratic socialism, so what are people going to learn?

7. Gavin Newsom to Charlie Kirk on trans rights: “I totally agree with you.”
California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a pioneer for LGBTQ+ rights who decades ago upset leaders in his own party when he defied state law and issued marriage licenses to same-sex couples, suggested Democrats were in the wrong in allowing transgender athletes to participate in female college and youth sports.
"I think it's an issue of fairness, I completely agree with you on that. It is an issue of fairness - it's deeply unfair," Newsom said in his debut podcast episode of "This is Gavin Newsom." "I am not wrestling with the fairness issue. I totally agree with you."

Wait it’s the *front* and the *back*???
"We've shown for the first time that the front of the brain arises from a totally different progenitor cell than the back of the brain," said Kyle Loh, PhD, associate professor of developmental biology. "Our discovery means that we can now grow neurons from the back of the brain, the hindbrain, in a petri dish and study their functions."

Oh surprise surprise it's Gavin Newsom who fucked the dog
After Paramount threatened to leave, Gov. Gavin Newsom of California, who is finishing his tenure in January and considering a run for president in 2028, said he was concerned such a move would be a blow to the state’s reputation. Karen Bass, the mayor of Los Angeles, is locked in a tight race for re-election in a city already facing waning work in show business.

Literally none of this matters. Even that board, which might sound promising, will be toothless. All the "editorial independence" in the world won't stop Bari Weiss's CBS from being an administration mouthpiece—SHE'S THE EDITOR—and the same goes for Will Lewis or whoever they bring in to run CNN
After weeks of on-again-off-again negotiations, Paramount and the states agreed to a number of concessions to complete the deal, Mr. Bonta said at a news conference on Monday. The entertainment giant has agreed to establish a board to ensure the editorial independence of CNN and CBS News and committed to distributing 30 movies in theaters every year. The company also pledged to spend an additional $1.5 billion on film production over the next five years and guaranteed to increase the share of those

movies that are made in America.

Man.
The president attributed the ban to his displeasure with the outlets' coverage of his administration. "There's something wrong with a country that can allow people to write purposely negative stories," Mr. Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Friday atternoon.
"Now, if they want to write them, that's fine, but I don't have to let them into my - into the people's house," the president added.

Saying Ms Rachel is an antisemite is doing this on steroids (from Ezra Klein)
I think it's an incredibly dangerous game that pro-Zionist people have phyed trying to conflate those things. Because if you tell people enough times that opposing Israel is to be antisemitic, at some point they're going to say: Then I guess I'm antisemitic

A few weeks ago a police officer was shot dead. Same old story - some Valentino kids got into a scrap with the badges. The fatal piece of lead was shot by a ganger named José Luis.
The investigation was dropped and officers from the local precinct were told to back off. Pretty interesting turn of events, wouldn't you say? José must have some friends in high places.
Here's the deal - one of the officers wants José to be brought to justice, which is where you come in. If you happen to find out who's protecting the Valentino, I'll throw in extra. Good luck.

Very interesting that mainstream news is now speaking this plainly about the Court
The Supreme Court on Friday endorsed a request from Republican campaign groups that want to buy discounted TV advertising for this year’s midterms, the latest in a series of emergency rulings from the high court benefiting the GOP.

The decision effectively upholds guidance issued by the Federal Communications Commission in March that allowed the campaign arms of House and Senate Republicans to pay lower ad rates that were previously reserved only for candidates.

The court’s order will primarily benefit Republicans, who generally raise more money through party committees than Democrats.

[“The Aristocrats” voice] The Passive Virtues!
Given this apparent absence of statutory authority, the District Court for the District of Columbia enjoined the ballroom's continued construction in response to a lawsuit filed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in the United States. The Court of Appeals affirmed. Today this Court grants the Government's request to stay that injunction and allow construction of the ballroom to go forward— not because that construction is legal, but on the ground that the Trust likely lacks Article III standing to challenge it.

The death of the Buddha (Gautama Buddha), or Mahaparinirvana. Gandhara, 2-3rd century
In Buddhism, parinirvana (Sanskrit: parinirvāna; Pali: parinibbāna) describes the state entered after death by someone who has attained nirvana during their lifetime. It implies a release from samsara, karma and rebirth as well as the dissolution of the skandhas.

No. 25-2930 IN THE Plaintiff-Appellant, D. Defendants-Appellees.

UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE NINTH CIRCUIT Van Loo Fiduciary Services ex rel. Estate of Michael F. Reinoehl, United States, Pierce County, City of Lakewood, James Oleole, Craig Gocha, Michael Merrill, On appeal from the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington Case No. 3:23-cv-5618-DGE Hon. David G. Estudillo APPELLANT'S REPLY BRIEF August 21, 2026

Athul K. Acharya Sara K. Rosenburg PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY P.O. Box 14672 Portland, Oregon 97293 (503) 383-9492 Counsel for Plaintiff-AppellantINTRODUCTION

In Defendants' telling, the Estate's claims vanish into a legal Ber-

muda Triangle. Three bodies of law-42 U.S.C. S 1983, the FTCA, and state tort law—all conspire to produce the same result: no liability. The officers point to the federal government, the municipalities point to the federal government, and the federal government points to sovereign im- munity. Overlapping authority means zero accountability. Section 1983 asks whether the officers acted under color of state law: They did. State tort law asks whether the municipalities retained some control over the officers even on task-force missions: They did. And the FTCA withdraws its shield for discretionary functions when the govern- ment violates the Constitution-which it did. doesn't exist. Overlapping authority does not mean impunity. The Estate is entitled to prove its case at trial.

This view is mistaken. Each body of law asks a discrete question.

Like the Bermuda Triangle, Defendants' accountability void
