Wow- anti-Larnach take from Brauer off the top rope! So long as they make at least one more key add I’m great with this deadline. Trading Larnach may be smart strategically but he’s been awfully good. Maybe dumping him while otherwise buying is a little too cute?

All credit to him for trying to give you a real answer here. Sincerely appreciated. But…. Also…. Huh??

Has he watched… the Twins?

I appreciate this thread, David. And as a fellow non-Frey-guy I have to say I am generally impressed with the realness of his responses to you. The stresses of the last decade in this city have been immense - and keeping disagreement in perspective feels important to me.

Seems to me that’s a crap quote. He should just not say anything if that’s what he’s gonna say. I really don’t like it - I can’t imagine Buxton will like seeing that either.

He should emcee his own induction. I’m sort of not kidding - he’d bring the right flavor of pomp/circumstance/sense of humor to that.

Is anyone - actually, literally anyone - in the stands under these putrid circumstances AND after a rain delay? Seems like it will be the most depressing crowd of the Target Field era?

in this same audio, Manfred was asked why the diversity pipeline was scrubbed from MLB's website. this was his answer:

"The diversity pipeline, let me say it this way. Sometimes, you have to look at how the world's changing around you and readjust where you are. There were certain aspects of some of our programs that were very race and/or gender based. We know that people in Washington felt it was important that we passed our programs in a way to make sure that we can continue on with our programs, continue to pursue the values that we have always adhered to without tripping what could be legal problems interfere with that process. You know, that's a judgment, my judgment. At the end of the day, I think I made it right."

I’m “rewatching” the game this morning by starting at the beginning of my BlueSky feed. And I came to this - and without context I can’t figure it out. Do you remember what was terrible?

Yep. You got it. That’s what everyone calls them here.

You can’t call it a tweet here. Avdija and Robert Williams looked decent out there and Banton was insane for those four minutes in the first half. Aside from that… the Blazers looked like the Blazers. Wolves just got stuffed into their lockers.
