It doesn't matter if *you* think he shouldn't be in the U.S. It doesn't matter if *you* think he committed a crime. The Supreme Court decided that he should be returned. This is what matters. Your *feelings* about this are irrelevant. The court decided. And is being ignored. This is fascism.

You just know that there are at least a few discussions in newsrooms today where they are sitting there gobsmacked at what Jeffery Goldberg had the stones to do, and they are saying, "wait, is this what we should be doing too??!?" Yes, motherfuckers, yes. Courage is contagious.

If you’re not standing with Ukraine, you’re standing with a dictator who believes that anything he wants in the world should be his if he starts it. Am I talking about Trump or Putin? Impossible to see any daylight between the two, tbh.

It's weird how when you tell anti-vaxxers to enjoy getting measles, they accuse you of saying something awful, as if their stance isn't an open door policy for infectious diseases. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t care what your reason was for voting for this man. When you or your loved ones get sick or face medical consequences, I will not shed one fucking tear. If that sounds callous, it’s only as callous as your vote was. The fallout from your ignorance are about to be irreparable.

Canada and Mexico have done more to stand up to Trump than essentially any elected official in the United States. We are in their debt.

Dismantling regulations that protect the country has consequences. If the Dems are even halfway decent at their jobs (tbd), they'll let anyone who is paying attention know that Trump took steps last week that made our airspaces less safe. He is a threat to all of us, regardless of political party.

The administration didn’t backtrack because of a single thing our representatives did. They backtracked because the public revolted. Get loud. Stay loud. The disobedience is the point.

Just a reminder that you don’t have to do the next 4 years like you did his last 4 years. Protect your peace, pick important battles, mute accounts that make you spiral. I can’t let my daily mental health hinge on his depravity again, and it’s ok to regroup and fight cleaner and better and smarter.

One thing to understand CA: we love it here. Many of us are here by choice, having moved for its promise & its beauty & its lifestyle. The news may report that we're a failing state but it's the opposite: a huge GDP, an open-minded spirt & the determination of people who packed up and headed west. 💙

To understand how decimating this is to anyone who has ties to LA’s Westside (where I live), my daughter has a core friend group of about 8 girls. Among this group alone, 3 of them lost their homes completely. Everyone here has the same story.

LA has enough to worry about other than that toxic narcissistic fuck shitting on our state, our Gov, our residents and our way of life. A leader with any ounce of courage and decency would put aside his ego for Americans who didn't vote him and try to earn our respect. He will never be my president.

The whole premise of Make America Great Again is that America is a "shit hole"…which MAGA voters endorsed and went to a neo-Nazi rally at MSG in support of. But now that the messaging is coming from someone other than their cult leader and the messaging also includes *them,* they’re big mad. Oop.

A recap of the week: 1) a congressman, nominated to be the AG, paid for sex and provided drugs to women, including a 17-yo 2) a husband was found guilty of drugging his wife, and 80 men lined up to r*pe her 3) a director sexually harassed a co-star, then convinced the public he was the good guy Ok!

From men who vote for predators while telling us they still love us to men who spend years pretending to be allies only to turn out to be lecherous to men who drug their wives, this is why women choose the bear. At least with the bear, what you see is what you get. We'll take those odds.

The pharmacist says "one sec, let me try to apply coupons," *clickety clack,* then he says, "okay, now it's $16." Nothing about our healthcare system makes sense.

The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kiss that swept the internet and its bigger lessons

Knowingly or not, Taylor Swift is now teaching generations of women what it looks like to have a partner who shows up for you and Travis Kelce is demonstrating how to be that partner.

So many dog rescues I follow are begging for help right now. My genuine best advice for making your life a little happier (that happens to be backed by medical data) is to adopt a pet. (Yes buying a pet will bring you happiness too but saving an animal is its own special kind of goodness.)

I completely forgot that before ACA, children could and would be kicked off their parents' health insurance at 18. As a parent of an 18 and 20yo, this seems...insane now? Why, honestly, does age even matter, with policy coverage? If the bill is being paid, what's the difference? We are so fucked up.
