On this day in 2003, we lost the crew of Space Shuttle Columbia. As a new astronaut at the time, I admired not only their dedication to space exploration but their incredible character & kindness. They were truly good human beings, & their legacy continues to inspire us all. Forever in our hearts.

39 years ago, we lost the Challenger crew. As a sophomore in high school dreaming of becoming an astronaut, I watched in shock and sorrow, but also with deep admiration for their courage. Their bravery still inspires me to dream big. We honor their legacy today. #Challenger #NeverForget

3 years ago, I launched my first fabric collection, Earth Views - a dream project inspired by the breathtaking perspective of our planet from space. Designing the collection was such a joy, and seeing what others have created with the fabrics has been even more incredible.

Hi Bluesky, I’m new here! 🌟 About me: I had an incredible 20-year career as an astronaut, including 2 trips to space and 180 days living and working on the ISS. After retiring from NASA in 2020, I shifted my focus to my passion for textile arts & quilting.
