Good Pondering 004

Plain text that reads:

I am a director. I have visions, I have dreams, fantasies
that I must breathe life into. I find others and mobilise,
we venture into the abyss to create this promised neverland.
In a way, we all orchestrate the strings of our reality.
That is our light, our flame. What else does humanity have
to offer? What else do we have to offer? But I see men who
threaten to live behind their mandate and plug themselves
into perpetual pleasure machines. That is their prophesied
destiny.

Plain text that reads:

I am a director, I have a vision, I have a dream, a fantasy
that I have breathed life into. My vision is not a singular
truth for those who choose to join me and to take from, but
a venture into the abyss, the framework for a promised
neverland.

This is the destiny I envision, but it is for our children
to decide so.

Once a connection has been made, it is a concrete
possibility

We now live on the internet, our lives revolve around it. The first step to revolution, to real anarchy is truly decentralising the internet. I believe that if we can free our data, we can free the world

"...the character of the computer environment of the future needs to become more childish, and more human, if it is to help human beings to genuinely extract the best of themselves...
this change may well affect activities which are apparently technical, not only those that one broadly classifies as 'creative'." -- Christopher Alexander

One of the most intelligent case studies in design is the Chinese tea cup. They're made without handles simply because if it's too hot to touch, it's too hot to drink.
Humans naturally want to add more. Add a cardboard sleeve, add a warning on the outside of the cup, add a handle. The result of all these things never cools down the actual contents. And in the end, you'll still burn your mouth from drinking too early. It's not that people don't see the warnings, we're just adding more layers of separation between us and the answer.
Simplify until it's obvious.

It’s so damn good that it’s also the best Bond theme, period. Beyond its insanely amazing production, I cannot overemphasise on how well it captures the Energy and feeling of Phantom Liberty. 10/10
