As fanfest approaches, I'm reflecting on just how far I've come. Nearly five years ago I was a tiny sprout beginning her journey, with not a single clue what she was doing. Now I'm shaking my fist saying back in my day, and wanting to protect every sprout I see. How the turns table. 🩷☺️

trans people are always welcome in my space your existence is not a threat to anything but the frail social constructs that restrain self expression and self love

This. Please be sensitive to those of us who did put our creativity and efforts posting content on there. If this were YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Fb etc.. we would be sympathetic and empathetic to you 🩷

hey. please be nice to the people mourning the loss of tiktok. if you don't care and are glad that it's gone, just please keep it to yourself. to some, it was a source of income. to some, genuine friendships were born. to some, inspiration was sparked. to some, it was their happy comfort place.

Well tiktok is down. I woke up from a nightmare a bit ago, and I don't have my doom scrolling to help me fall back asleep. I feel so disconnected. This really sucks. Even if the app comes back, it won't be the same. I'm conflicted about continuing to use it in that case.

I really hope at least most of the FFXIV creators settle in one spot after this tiktok ban. 😵‍💫 I feel like I've downloaded like 50 alternatives this week and I'm really unsure where to put most of my effort to build my following back up.. or at least attempt to lmaoo

// I had no clue. I just use it as little sparkles. I don't use AI. I want people to see that pretty pictures can be done without its use.

Also, do hashtags function here? What are the ways we can make sure our public posts are getting to the FFXIV community?

Okay I wanna know from the masses, what was your favorite FFXIV expansion, and why? I'll go first. Hands down, shadowbringers because it was just expertly written and gave me all the feels. Plus, purple forest 🤣❤️ The sin eaters were really cool and graha is hubby.

So, I was never terribly active on Twitter. What are the social rules when it comes to re-"tweeting" things? Is that frowned upon or is that like reposting on tiktok? I don't want to offend anyone by missing a not so obvious to me social queue and sharing everyone's stuff 🤣🤣🤣

With tiktok being possibly banned in 10 days.. I don't really know where to go from here. I'll continue to be active here, and on YouTube shorts. The idea of building my following back and finding a new video editing software etc feel so daunting right now. 😔🥺

BlueSky is filling a void that 35+ up been looking for. Social media should be a cool distraction. Not stressful and annoying. Folks wanna laugh and have healthy banter and wit and sarcasm. A feeling of community. Not all these bots and ads and weird ass algorithms and engagement farming

Word of the Day, should you need it, is ‘latibulate’, a 17th-century verb meaning to find a corner somewhere and hide in it.
