For some reason, MAGA keeps wanting to say "but what if Bill Clinton was in the Epstein files". To help those people understand why this is meaningless, I've created this simple visual indicating which people would actually be arrested if each party held power.

Two squares are each divided into quadrants. The quadrants of each square are "our guys" and "their guys" across, and "did crimes" and "didn't" down. The highlighted quadrants in each square indicate that Democrats would always arrest people who did crimes, and that Republicans would always arrest "their guys".

It's healing magic, not a potion as such, but I think it'd be the same.

“I don’t know,” the girl says again, and approaches him.

Carefully, she extracts the knife from his side. Roland grits his teeth for the pain he’s been dreading, and it comes. But it’s followed immediately by waves of a soothing sensation, as the green glow reappears and the warmth of her hand rests on his skin. He smells roses after the rain, and tastes the copper of blood mingling with the juicy sweetness of grapes fresh off the vine, and feels a comforting heat spread from the site of the injury. It’s like… like resting beside a campfire, wrapped in blankets, watching the stars.

If healing feels this good, it almost makes me want to get hurt again, thinks Roland, and realizes in shock what he’s thinking.

Traditional dungeon delving feels great for cartographers and surveyors, and battlemaps love them their 5' x 5' grids. For fantasy gaming, how about each category of class (e.g. casters) has their own map? An example is provided.

A class-specific battlemap, indicating how a wizard might see a battlefield. It has sections labeled "double potency", "normal potency", and "half potency", indicating relative spell power, and special sections marked "cover" and "counter". There are three red rings at regular points around the overall map. A caption reads "if all three red zones are occupied, spell gains Redline".

If I'm going to make my Star Trek game more generic, I need a more generic visual as well. Here's an early idea for what a ship might look like if it needs to convey "this is kinda Star Trek" without actually being Star Trek.

Classic sailing ship features:
• the sail unfurls to catch the wind and visually indicates the propulsive force pushing the ship
• the keel is streamlined, suggesting speed
Classic Star Trek starship features:
• the saucer section, center of operations, reminiscent of the UFO design from early sci-fi
• the nacelles, which generate the warp field
We are taking the classic Star Trek outline and infusing more of the classic sailing ship's features:
• the nacelles stand in more clearly for the mast that holds the sail, and our sail is a force field that's visible when the faster-than-light engine is engaged
• instead of strictly using the twin symmetrical nacelle design, we can vary our "arms" into different shapes to indicate progress or distinction in technology
• the main hull is more streamlined
• alternate designs for the main body of a ship are all possible, letting us trade the streamlined shape for bulkier, boxier, or more organic outlines depending on whose ship it is and what the ship does
