iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Oh. I forgot. This office also oversees a smaller office. So technically I’ll be in charge of 6 employees and 2 offices. 😳

But with that comes allllll of the responsibilities. Here’s hoping it all goes smoothly. 🤞

My goal is to fly under the radar. I don’t even want them to know who I am. I want to be unseen. But I will be wearing a LOT of hats and this might be impossible. The upside is I’m basically the Postmaster, so I get higher level pay. Even had to sign paperwork acknowledging it.

And I’ll be in charge of 5 employees. If something needs doing, I have to do it. You get the picture. I’m terrified. There’s one thing I don’t want - to wind up on the shit list. The shit list is when you don’t do something or do something wrong. And it’s made by the higher ups.

So in October - for a LOT of October - my Postmaster is going to be out for surgery/recovery. So I as senior clerk(and apparently the more trustworthy clerk) am getting a temporary promotion. This means I will be in charge of our office - overseeing all of the ins and outs, paperwork…..

@topin.bsky.social Summer is over and I’m sad, but I’m FALLing over myself to remind you you could be a voice actor. If you wanted.

90 minute trip both ways + two hours of filling out paperwork = a new car. FINALLY.

To name a few. And just when I thought I was in the clear, something new has popped up. My ride to pickup the car is having car issues of his own and doesn’t want to drive his car. Thinks we should take my car. That is losing insurance tomorrow. And that I need the plates off of for the new one.

Btw, this whole ‘getting a new car’ business has been an absolute nightmare. Like the amount of things that has gone wrong - appointments no one knew were scheduled(except me apparently), paperwork that wasn’t given to me, a purchase agreement that had the down payment as $0(definitely not that)…

Normally I’d be scheduling vacation for Twin Cities Con…..not this year. 😔 I decided I needed a new car(one that’s more suited for the harsh winters) more. Still, it’s sad. That’s the one Con I go to every year for the last 4 years. But I have to be smart(er) about money.

I spent most of today trying to figure out how to say what I meant, trying desperately to find examples of what that might sound like, just straining my brain and listening to a drafted track over and over. Like I woke up much earlier than I normally do on an off day because brain wouldn’t turn off.

One app: this card is worth $20. Another app: this card is worth $120! Yet another app: this card doesn’t exist. Me: @_@

I’m trying to figure out the best way to find the best value for them. I’ve tried a few websites and a few apps, but the values on some of the better cards is so vastly different between them it’s hard to know what is right.

I FOUND MY POKEMON CARDS. Or rather someone else did, but not before asking me to split whatever I make off of them 50-50. Ah well. At least I have them now. Though I’m sure I had a Charizard that is not present. Weird. (No I don’t think it was stolen)

Astra Kat @astrakat.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

@topin.bsky.social AHHHHHHHgust. I’m sorry I only just now remembered. You being a voice actor isn’t something one forgets. Dates and the passage of time however, up for grabs.

Astra Kat @astrakat.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

The idea that I have thousands of dollars worth of Pokemon cards somewhere won’t stop bothering me. But it’s equally possible I gave them to someone. Who? I dunno. I collected/played back in the 90’s. There should be a binder somewhere……

Not even a week back yet and I already hate my job again …give it a few weeks and my soul will be sufficiently ground down enough to withstand the weight of the lives I’m not living

Sooooo my regular job that I have to return to in a few weeks is making me sick. Greaaaaat.

Astra Kat @astrakat.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

I think I proved my own theory right: I was getting sick/nauseous every day I worked, but NOT on the days I didn’t work. The distribution is lots of physical activity right away in the morning. All week I’ve been in the theater, not the post office. Not been sick a single day.
