The new Mario Kart on the Switch 2 looks cool and right up my alley but uh not at that price, guess I'll just wait a year and get one second hand like I did with my switch

2022 plague marine vs plague marine I finished last night circa 2025

Tried painting Legionaries as simply as one could with as minimal effort I can get away with, so it does need some effort to not have a finished model that's just flat looking

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 20/03/2025

Well look at that, a finished mini

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 18/03/2025

Progress on the sorcerer, not really feeling it currently, hopefully some highlights can tie it together for me

Painting again for the first time this year, with a new crusade warlord

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 10/03/2025

I've been finding it interestingly harder to enjoy or do anything 40k related recently, whether it's building models, painting them, or listening to my audio books like it just hasn't been helping my interestingly depressed mood with everything going on

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 03/03/2025

Growing up I was never really into traditional girls stuff, nor did I ever really have the option due to parents and just being interested in other stuff, some of which became lifelong hobbies, so I think now I'm allowed a girly interest as a treat, like these dolls from a terrible tv show

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 02/03/2025

I found some boxes of sisters of battle with quite generous discounts, so got some Paragon Warsuits and a second Immolator for when I get round to building that army

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 25/02/2025

Nothing like a new hyperfixation to get you through an existential crisis. It's not even something that great that's caught my attention this time, but I love it anyway, and there's some good ideas I might steal for dnd

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 14/02/2025

Lotarra is probably my favourite human character, nay just actual favourite character from the Horus Heresy, despite being a resin questionable human model I'm 100% painting her, and maybe be apart of a Jackal unit

I've no real desire to collect and play Aeldari, but this specific art (and a couple characters) makes me want to paint some Aeldari in this style, because it's glorious and I love it

I bought my friends Deathwatch army after he decided to go back to Templars when he squatted the Deathwatch, and I just want to show off how much of a talented painter he is, my bad photography does not do these gorgeous models justice

Everything kinda just sucks right now, January was honestly kinda really bad in general and personally. I try my best to focus on the good, positive things and to not dwell on the well *vague hand gesture at world* lest everything overwhelms me

Not having a good day so spending my evening watching my favourite shows and funny internet people while building my we have judge dreads at home 40k guys

Building a Canadian Highlander deck and I could build a deck that was decent, back in like 2018 before a half decades worth of power crept magic cards I just avoided as I found other hobbies and kinda didn't play much magic or bought cards, idk maybe boomer jund will work fine against my friends

2025 is really starting to look like the year I just quit using any social media app, there's just no escaping the endless amounts of shit and I'm already just perpetually stress without the world going downhill

Awhile back I was just picking up any very shiny Nyssa that I found because she's my favourite

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 06/01/2025

In 2023 I painted 33 minis* and a small amount of terrain *Angron was 95% done In 2024 I painted 58 minis, so overall I painted more in 2024 though I did get very much burnt out halfway through the year. So yeah that's my goal for 2025, paint some more and not burn out.

First attempt at using an airbrush and this was the best result out of 5 guys and an hour and a half of practice

Got the Sergeant built, just need to get a Blood Angels Thunder Hammer to finish primaris Karlaen, Blood Angels first captain

Sister got me the box of Terminators and the Captain was my secret Santa gift from my friends

I don't think that was my favourite Dr who Christmas special, wasn't bad and had alot of stuff I liked, just altogether it was a thing that happened, maybe on rewatch I'll appreciate it more

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

I enjoyed the War Games in Colour, my only negative is that I'm still not a big fan of how it's edited but a bit less so than Daleks in Colour, music choices were better and less jarring, so the War Chiefs theme was sus, and the regeneration with all the easter eggs is very fanservicey but I like it

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 21/12/2024

The first ever episode of the Simpsons aired in the same year as the last season of classic doctor who (1989) which just feels so weird to me, like a whole 11 day gap between the two

010

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 19/12/2024

Bases have arrived, weather is too unpredictable for priming yet

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

Even if my blue ray player (old xbox) will not properly play brand new blu rays, I might still get this one, season 7 is one of my favourite seasons of Classic Who

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

Carrying on going through 60s Doctor Who and there's a sweet scene in episode 3 of Tomb of the Cybermen, where the Doctor is talking to Victoria about her father and she asks about his family and it's just so wholesome but got me in the feels too because it's dealing with the loss of loved ones

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

One little horus all in sub assemblies, just missing his base then he'll be ready for priming and painting

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

Someone must've unloaded there entire classic doctor who dvd collection at my local second hand nerd store, as I've picked up all of this to add to my dvd collection, which now brings me to having just about over the surviving classic who stories on dvd

010

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

I mean it's just a small project to get me back into hobbying that won't turn into another larger unfinished army I promise... kinda, maybe, look deep down I just want to paint Heresy stuff

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

That's about as much as I can be bothered to paint for this lil heresy space wolf, sure I could tidy up the armour or better do the space but its a good attenpt and they are generally a messy bunch, the base is supposed to be icy wintry sludge themed #WarhammerCommunity #HorusHeresy

0171

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

First bit of painting done in some months, about halfway through an attempt at a heresy era Space Wolf

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Oh, now I remember why I stopped playing Yugioh Master Duel, freakin Maxx "C" just turning every game into an unfun nongame, other similar cards as well but that one in peculiar grinds my gears

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

You think twitter is bad? My Facebook feed is 3/4s recommended slop, alt right memes, ai generated trash, Instagram reels and ads, almost none of which relevant to anything I follow, just a dead unusable site now

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

I have a £10 games workshop voucher that expires this weekend, they are out of stock of everything I want, but I could get lil Horus Aximand, and then get some guys to paint as Sons of Horus with some conversion, ignoring my box of heresy guys for Ultramarines and my other army projects

110

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

These 3 currently consume the most space in my head

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Also a running theme at least of what I've seen of season 2 of Classic Who is that everyone gets split up and get into shenanigans before all meeting up in the last episode, happened in Dalek Invasion of Earth, and seems like it's happening in the Romans

100

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Going back to Hartnell era Classic Who and I've not been disappointed by anything, fun engaging stories and characters Doctor Who peaked here with Barbara and Ian as companions

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

I personally wouldn't post about trans day of remembrance on other sites because people suck, and are just being the worst. It just makes me sad and also angry that sheer basic kindness, decency and empathy is now lost on so many people. My dad went to a funeral for his trans friend today

100

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Love how in the Dalek Invasion of Earth that the characters running through a ruined London find every single landmark and area that is intact, gotta love classic who xD

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 18/11/2024

New pin badges of other stuff I like

000

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 18/11/2024

what are your top four seasons? mine: and note I like nearly every season of classic who but these 4 probably have some of my more favourite stories and characters

110

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

She's not even my favourite Vrains character, that would be Yusaku, but Blue Angel is still cool

010

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

Since the last month that I logged in here I built more of backlog of unbuilt Space Marines, a Terminator Chaplain for my Ultramarines, and Jump Pack guys and new Death Company for my Blood Angels, and also another dozen Death Company not pictured

010

Astra Random <3 @astra-random.bsky.social · 18/10/2024

Small birthday present for myself, been awhile since I've gotten any cool yugioh merch

It's only fitting that the first post I make on blue sky is my beloved blue boys that I painted
