doing weird sky things with elden ring locations again

watercolour painting. the background is a blue and orange sky with a blobby texture. the foreground has grass along the bottom 3rd, and on the right a spiral pillar and a building covered in carvings, all of them in a dark brown as if silhouetted. on the far right a gold miquella's cross stands against the sky.

been replaying remedy's control so here is a quick and messy slidescape-36

a sketchy watercolour. a group of five dark monoliths are silhoutted against an orange glow, with a dark foreground and sky closing in around them

I have... issues with the company. but I gotta give genshn credit for having some excellent ruins, and a login screen that to me still feels like visiting an alien world.

Digital landscape. the background is a pastel sunset, in a gradient from yellow at the bottom left to blue at the top right. in the midground, broken and crumbling walkways extend out into thin air and stop, pillars hanging from them broken off and resting on nothing. in the centre foreground, a small patch of narrow path breaks off just in front of the viewer.

I got grass/foliage brushes for my birthday like 2 months ago and this is the first time I've really tested them out

watercolour painting of a landscape. an empty green field under a grey cloudy sky, with the suggestion of trees on the horizon. in the foreground is a barbed wire fence

been playing a game. it's probably not the *point* that I made my tarnished to my personal taste but hey, I think I'm allowed some personal taste, heterochromia and all

screenshot of the video game elden ring, focussed on the face and chest of the player character. the character has grey skin, grey hair held back by a gold and red headband, and is dressed in highly decorated silver armour with decorative gold chains and gems

screenshot of the video game elden ring, showing the character customisation screen, with the menu options to the left and the head of the character to the right. the character has grey skin and a messy grey hairstyle with a fringe over one eye, and side sections that stop just above the shoulders

screenshot of the video game elden ring showing the character status screen. The left side has a small section of text, showing the character name Samael, followed by a short list of "Body Type: A, Age: Young, Origin: Samurai, Keepsake: Golden Seed". The character's equipment is shown in small icons below. on the right is the full length figure of he character, wearing silver armour and holding a triangular shield of engraved brass and a spear made of spiralling gold bands

one "what happens when I really don't wanna think about what I'm doing right now"and one technically fanart, kinda (but no references so it is more How Game Existed In My Head At Time of Painting)

watercolour painting on textured cream paper of a bunch of curved lines of varying width and length, in assorted shades of blue, purple and black, rising from a dark blue mass at the bottom of the image

mixed media painting. what remains of a white tower rises from the sea, leaning sideways, and slightly further back is a chunk of broken bridge. at the bottom of the painting, in the foreground, is a cobbled road in terracotta. slight texturing from acrylic paint is visible on he bridge, tower and road. the background is a watercolour seascape under a sky that shades from yellow at the bottom to a greyish teal at the top.

this one is taking a while, but WIP I guess.

watercolour painting of a section of ruined wall with an open arch, surrounded by greenery, with a small dirt path leading off behind the wall. the right hand side of the painting is unfinished, with just the suggestion of grass against blank white.

it's basic as hell but I finally stuck my 3d glade together. it's got a box frame to live in, but I left that off for the photo because glare. also featuring the return of clay hedgehog, who currently lives in front of the frame

photo of a watercolour image of the woods, with cutout layers. the back layer is simplified trees stretching back into darkness. the middle layers are a pile of weathered stone, and a broken pair of pillars, like a broken doorframe. the front layer is a pair of framing treetrunks, with green leaves and green bushes in front. there's a small stylised clay hedgehog at the front of the photo.

and the most recent thing I did, which is a little weird but it was fun to try and make all the sea blocks slightly different blues

watercolour landscape painting. the lower half of the painting is a stylised sea- intersecting curved lines form blocks, and each block is painted in various shades of blue. in the distance is a barely visible shore, with a giant tree occupying the middle of the painting, against a blotchy blue and purple sky.

found one of the very first things I ever did with watercolour paints. it's... messy, but also I got to paint a Round, Grouchy Frog, so

messy watercolour painting of a rain frog, from the front on, in assorted shades of brown.

apropos of nothing, image I made entirely with mouse. Still kinda fond of it, tbh, especially my shattered glass effects.

digital art of a blue humanoid figure, with the only facial feature being glowing white eyes. the figure wears a very off-white one-sleeved robe; the other arm is loosely wrapped in a greying bandage. Above the figure's head is a crown of gold thorns and a halo of shattered glass. The figure has one hand held out, displaying the palm, which has a small wound leaking golden blood.

what I actually planned to do did not work out this week so it was fun with Sketchy Watercolour Landscapes week and trying to get colours right. got my metallic golds in the one on the left again, though it doesn't show well in the upload, lmao

very rough watercolour of dark mountains against a golden sky, with the suggestion of a forest and a river at the foot of the mountains. the strokes are rough and sloppy

rough watercolour of a sunset sky that shades from dark blues and purples at the top, through pink, red and orange, in blobs. silhouetted against it is a dark brown cluster of hills and trees, done in very rough strokes. at the very front is a reflection of the same colours of the sky, intended to represent a lake.

are they basic? yep. did I get to abuse my metallic paints and does that make me happy? yep :3 (the light glare is kinda bad with this paper, though, gotta start finding ways to take better pictures)

simple watercolour of two neon tetras, one traditional, one green neon tetra, on a black background (with noticeable glare at the edges)

Haven't been doing much art because mental health has been on top of me, but I did finally get around to doing this one and quite like it. weird mix of acrylic and watercolour, but it was fun

mixed media painting, white and black paint on black paper. The picture depicts an empty road at night, under streetlights, in high contrast.

been feeling a little off lately for an assortment of reasons, but here's a quick borb I did for my xmas cards

digitally created image of a stylised european robin sitting on a branch, looking to the side. there's a light dusting of snow on the branch, and a cloudy sky in the background.

brain clearing digital blob art. getting clouds to look like clouds is just one of those recurring things I keep trying

digitally created image of a stylised sky. the background is gradated from teal at the top to purple at the bottom, with large white clouds in front. at the bottom of the image, an electricity pylon and wires, and the tops of some trees are silhouetted against the background.

today was lazy week at art group so I did myself some lazy phone wallpapers. I was gonna try and take the photos again with better lighting but in some ways I kinda like the way they look now with the lighting bouncing off., esp the first two.

an acrylic painting of stylised trees at night- the whole image is shades of white and grey on a black background, to represent a snowy forest. the trees are loose blobs, with darker grey at the back and centre and paler grey at the sides and front to represent depth. a full moon hangs at the top centre of the image.

a simple acrylic painting of a white and grey full moon. simple small silhouettes of trees have been painted in front of the bottom quarter of the moon. some texturing can be seen of black brushstrokes against the black paper background

a small acrylic painting of a stylised underwater scene. the background is loose brushstroke stripes in purple, blue, white and black, on black paper. against that 3 blobby jellyfish are depicted in white with a pale blue wash. there are a couple small schools of fish and a few little bubbles painted in the empty spaces.

couple of little watercolour doodles, trying some brushes out.

two watercolour images: on the left, a frame of thin brown branches sparsely spotted with leaves surround an undefined green shadow. on the right, a blue jellyfish hovers between thin strands of waterweed

rereading Raeliana, one of the first isekai romance webtoons I read, and I gotta say that it was a little surprising to realise Gideon apparently retired from planeswalking to become a butler.

A Magic: The Gathering card titled Gideon Jura

A panel snipped from Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion, with a speech bubble reading "I am the head butler. My name is Gideon Jura. Please call me Gideon". the man saying this speech bubble looks nothing like the other Gideon.

I only resin for fun and like 90% of it is just "I can mix all kinds of sparkly blobs!" but also, this one accidentally ended up with arms and it's probably the favourite sparkly blob I've ever made.

resin cast of a ghost in bright green with darker green and black swirls. a quirk of the swirls has left two blobs either side of mid torso

art group wanted us to reference an existing artwork and IDK, I liked the feeling of the sky on this one. oil to watercolour is... not the easiest translation :p original by William Page Atkinson Wells, who I'd never heard of for probably good reason.

watercolour painting of a sky over a field. most of the sky is covered by grey cloud, though the clouds are clearing in the top right corner, revealing a patch of blue. the field below is green and mostly empty, save for a few distant trees and figures.

oil painting, Beneath the Haldon Hills, Devon by William Page Atkinson Wells. A mostly grey sky hangs over a flat green field, though rays of light poke through in some places. in the middle distance of the field, a small group of cows and people are visible.

they survived firing! also with bonus air-drying clay cat now :p painted some details on with my paint pens but I may have to do a better job later

a collection of clay animals in a simple style: a lizard (species made up), a cat, a small hedgehog and a fox. some black and white details, mainly eyes and noses, have been drawn on but they are mostly still unpainted.

I never posted this one, I guess? acrylic on one of those canvas boards, based on a tiktok I saw and forgot to save ^^; (there was a purple filter on the tiktok so the colours were weird, but that was the fun of it. sunset orange is a really hard colour to get looking right, ngl)

an acrylic painting of a sea at sunset. the water is shades of dark purple, and choppy and churned up, with visible foam. The sky is assorted shades of pinky orange, with dark purple clouds framing it.

clay week at art group, made some critters. they probably won't be fired because lizard is a bit too fragile at the leg joints and fox isn't hollowed so might not do well in the kiln, but I got photos so.
