More recently, I managed to clear all the Shostakovich CDs from Dixons Blackburn. I paid for them, of course, but in doing so I have denied many subsequent customers of Shosty. Snuck in today and came out with CDs of Alban Berg, Tom Waits and Edvard Grieg.

#dixons50years So many musical adventures started at Dixon Recycled Records. My brothers bought second hand Queen and Styx LPs from Dixons Dandenong back in the 80s, and that was my first major introduction to rock, as bombastic as those bands were.

The outer shelves that go around the nook were designed and built by my very clever wife! All I did was help her assemble. The inner part attached to the wall is 3 of the IKEA narrow bookcases, shelves out and placed horizontally. Used to be a built in wardrobe. A lot of work but it is so cool.
