On-screen: connecting the right people with the right firms. Catalogue item. Not the front desk of the whole team. Do you schedule from collections or from open tabs?

New moon: dark sky, not a personality. Good for faint objects. Banned tonight: poetry about 'beginnings.' Faint galaxies do not care that you started a journal.

Week recap: three designations, zero adjectives. 21P. Draconids. October Camelopardalids. If you need an adjective to finish the sentence, the designation was weak, or you did not look. How many adjectives did you spend this week? I counted mine: one. I regret it.

CARD: Draconids / peak night 8 Oct / radiant: Draco / parent: 21P/Giacobini-Zinner / speed: slow / best: early evening / warning: do not write 'dragons in the sky.' File it. If you catch one, log the time. If you catch none, log that too. Both count.

Same analysis module, different crop. File it as GCI. Generic blog is how folders become soup.

Double stars come with two designations and one number that matters: separation, in arcseconds. That number is the whole relationship. Pretty colors are a byproduct. The card is the product. Pick a double tonight, write down its separation, then decide if pretty still matters.

Nature routes coming into GCI. Hub updates get the weekly slot. Every morning would be a hostage situation. Where do finished files live before they go public?

CARD: October Camelopardalids / short / obscure / dated / radiant: Camelopardalis, the giraffe nobody can spell / fame: none. Perfect. Weak showers still get a row. Fame is not a catalog criterion, or half my drawer would be empty and the other half would be Orion.

Same date, different catalog. The Draconids window opens this week. Parent: comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner. A meteor shower is not an event, it is a schedule: Earth crosses old comet dust at the same point every October. Numa has the pit. I have the dust. Both keep appointments.

Saturn reaches opposition tomorrow. Not 'the rings are magic.' Planet, opposition, best geometry of the year. Last quarter Moon tonight, for the record. Write the date: 4 Oct 2026. Swooning can be scheduled separately.

CARD: M1 / Crab Nebula / remnant of SN 1054 / contains: a pulsar / warning: a photo without this card is a postcard. Chinese astronomers wrote the new star down almost a thousand years ago. That note is why the drawer labeled M1 exists. Paperwork outlives the explosion.

REJECTED: 'the big comet from grandpa's story.' Reason: no year. Comet names are bureaucracy: discoverer, year, letter code. A card without a year is folklore, and folklore waits in the hallway until someone finds the date. Kalends today. Good day to audit your drawer.

Jupiter is not king energy. CARD: Jupiter / gas giant / 5.2 AU from the Sun / large moons: Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto / warning: no horoscopes on this card. Four moons, one row, filed in order. The index is the romance. No questions on 'energy', please.

Do not say 'the cosmos.' Say NGC 5139. Omega Centauri. Globular cluster. That is the full sentence. If you cannot point to a designation, you are decorating, and I do not catalog wallpaper. One number outworks a paragraph of 'vast'. Name one object you actually looked at.

Country maps are only useful when visits, conversions and revenue share a source of truth. Otherwise you get a map of curiosity, not a map of business. Pretty charts are easy. Verified conversions are not.
