The Retro Bugbite is on a retro-styled G1 cardback and part of that includes a bio. The bio includes a reference to him being a Renegade with part of it reading, "A renegade if there ever was one." Also apparently his quote is "'Your mind is mine for the taking.'"

The Transformers Retro Bugbite bas been revealed and it is a redeco of the SS86 Bumblebee and completely based on the G1 Gobots figure rather than the Botcon toy meaning it lacks the actual interesting tattoos. At least this time it has the right vehicle mode and insignia.

Machine Robo Unitroborn Cactustortoise is well obviously a cactus and a tortoise that combine into a really cool robot. This is in reference to the fact that tortoise's often eat cactus' and cactus fruits.

Considering what he was the Puzzler combiner actually had pretty good articulation from the waist up with spinning arms, an elbow swivel and hinge, and a waist swivel. Much better than any G1 combiner from the time period.

Finally is Crasher who uses the body of TLK Crosshairs and the head of ROTF Mindwipe. Characterization wise she was fairly similar to the original show and led the Renegades for the first film up until they found Cy-Kill and he led for the rest of the films.

Next is Cop-Tur which uses the body of 07 Incinerator and the head of 07 Brawl. For lore Cop-Tur plays the role of the first threat you see within the film and has one of the most iconic designs and moments in the entire films although he did only live for the first movie.

Scooter uses the body of TF07 Arcee and the head of TF07 Bumblebee. The movies kept Scooter as a woman as in recent versions and kept her the kid appeal character making her mute and speak through the radio, she had her voice fixed but went back to the radio for each one after.

Turbo uses the body of DOTM Soundwave and the head of DOTM Ironhide. In the movies Turbo was one of the most beloved adaptations by fans in these, being different yet mostly accurate to the original Gobots show's personality, unfortunately he was killed in the 3rd movie.

141

Crazy Ass Moments in Gobots & Machine Robo History @assgobots.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

First is Leader-1 which uses the body of TF07 Starscream and the head of TF07 Evac. The movie Leader-1 went for a very different design for him however for the first movie at least he was very in character although he was written as more ruthless as the movies went on.

121

Crazy Ass Moments in Gobots & Machine Robo History @assgobots.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Cop-Tur uses the head and body of Animated Blackout. In the show Cop-Tur is Cy-Kill's muscle and is completely loyal to him. Despite being such an important character his toy never released fully although some were available in limited quantities.

Starting with Cy-Kill, he uses the head and body of Animated Oil Slick. In the show Cy-Kill starts off as more of a manipulative villain rather than a physical threat as his body was destroyed and he had to rebuild himself before he could take on the Guardians.

Scooter uses the body of Legends class TFA Prowl and the head of TFA Arcee. In the show they kept Scooter a woman like in the Evil One Trilogy. She is still a child appeal character although is still the technician of the group but she wants to prove herself among the rest.
