Let's look back at the last time I made a mane 6 group picture. Jul 2014 - Sep 2026 Figuring out styles, shading, or forms felt like communal exploration. I loved seeing what everyone tried, and here's a path I've shared. No one person could discover everything alone.

There they go again, squished in their bag. At least they could sleep, I had none. Then, I had to haul them down stairs because the elevator and escalators were all down for this platform. But I made it onto the train.

Group picture!! It's been over a decade since I last made a mane 6 (+Spike) all together as a group like this. Had to go back in time to make it happen.

Progress on the journey back in a generation, will I make it through all of them?! Before I crash I guess I'm sharing as it happens Placing down colour, shading, light, etc. to figure out balance for how it all looks. If it works painted rough I can always clean up where needed

HaYesss, ah those years. I do actually feel the reliance on a lot of the experience from those Saturday Streams, trying to get that episode art finished asap while also keeping some basic level of quality XD It worked back then, the skill, and hopefully my body works along side it still ha

AMonkey @assasinmonkey.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

It's been about a decade since my last full mane 6 art? 10 years ago I had the mane 6 split by VA into four posters It's been even longer since a group picture, and with Lauren Faust at Galacon it's a good reason to right?! (also back to roots, season 1 Twilight anyone?)

I'm seriously behind on schedule to make new art for Galacon. Hoping I get to finish this before Wednesday :c, and hoping there's interest in it?! Please do let me know. I might put up pre-orders so I can print enough last minute (thanks to having my own photo printer now)

Ooo, Anthrocon? Some day some daaaaay yes. I'm still bit hesitant on overseas, but ah with enough folk or maybe group to stay safe back and forth I still also gotta make it to Eurofurence at some point or any furry con xD

Hopefully all the friends had a lot of fun at the other cons that happened this last weekend! I do miss getting to go to EverfreeNorthwest. Many years of memories there... since over a decade ago. Already glad to see things going strong over there, tho Missing many other cons, too. I did so many

Convention trips times these next weeks D: I may pause trying to stream until after these next weeks with 2 trips, to Czequestria and Galacon. My health can't handle it all at once. Only vending at Galacon but I did still plan a new poster design, and hopefully also a paper puppet? Somehow

Ah, some single layer, soft shading, greyscale grayscale, Applejack. Not even a typical linesketch just straight onto a solid layer. A collection of little practice things I wanted to make which came together into one painting. ~3h40m

Tomorrow, Sunday stream, sounds fair? Some Nautila art planning & talk?! I do want to keep my words. It's been a weird time, and every day of this year still perpetual headache But part of it is also that I got con artwork to make which I can't stream but y'all will hopefully see soon enough 👀

After all the recent Art Fight streams, and today being the warmest day of this week, I might move my stream to a cooler day later in the week 😅 This month's plan is making stream scenes and overlays, as well as new merch/poster designs for upcoming conventions such as Galacon 👀

Thank you for the info! Been learning about paper choice. For Epona I didn't have time and had to use thick inkjet, but for NHC I got Panduro Mixed Media Pad and I'm glad it's working better. (also printable still) Hearing many having fun with it I'll definitely be repeating these at future cons

Oooo, paper puppet!! Glad to hear you enjoyed the art jam. So fun to see everyone active and get together Question, if you don't mind: How was it working on the paper choice for the puppet? I changed papers to one hopefully easier to draw on.
