We hear from 1 person every week who can't get an abortion where they live, AND is experiencing domestic abuse. If they can't get help to get to a clinic, they're trapped. Our helpline volunteers are often the only place people can turn for practical & emotional support to get care.

I am not in a position to continue this pregnancy and I am not ready to have a child.

It took a great deal of courage to write this, but I can see
no other way forward." DONATE TO HELP

Currently, if you don't have a passport, the ferry is your only route from Ireland into the UK to access an abortion. We've supported several people over the last few weeks who didn't have a passport and so had to travel by ferry.
RTE headline: "Ferry passengers to require passport for UK travel from next month" and additional text from ASN: "This change is yet another barrier to travelling for an abortion"

There are still huge gaps in abortion provision and barriers to access that must be addressed. Here are some examples of who WON’T be helped by this bill: people over 12 weeks, people who had an EMA and it failed, many cases of foetal anomaly

Here are some examples of people who were blocked from accessing abortion care by the 3-day wait. It will be too late to help them, but it will help many more in their situation in future:

TDs have voted to remove the 3-day wait from Ireland’s abortion laws!
