My mother was a lifelong spiritual seeker and collected a veritable bookstore of metaphysical, self-help, and religious tomes. Here are a few in today's sorting pile I decided to keep: A old paperback of the I-Ching, Krista Tippett Speaking on Faith, and a translation of a text central to Taoism.

We have returned to Camp Lazy Dog, the coolest custom LEGO build ever. Lots of delightful details such as a Renaissance cosplay with members of the Starship Enterprise beaming in nearby. At the Longmont Museum.

Amazing Maurice Sendak exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. I plan to go back when it's less crowded and without kids.

I am trying to learn how to draw a face. Avoiding excuses, I pulled out nearest pad of paper and random unsharpened pencils. Surprised to notice that ears are huge! So are nostrils. Interestingly, faces are divided into neat thirds. A face is varying proportions of lights and darks and angles.
