Hi New Folks! I'm so glad you're all here! I'm Andrew - I'm a zoologist, professor, and scied/comm/outreach enthusiast. My students at Fort Lewis College and I study how individual animals end up having different social lives than other members of their own species. Currently deer & cichlids. 🦌🐟

Always the most overrated fast food there is. It's not terrible, not much worse than Five Guys, but people act like it's not just special (it's not) but actively worth seeking (also not). California is very difficult to take seriously sometimes.

one of the many things I enjoy and appreciate about slang and the evolution of language is the way it can give new meaning to old terms, including affixes. I unironically hope the namers of Pachylemur are pleased with what time has done to their genus.
