Ukraine’s gas system has experienced a series of major attacks over the past week. According to Bloomberg, 60% of gas production capacities were disabled. If the situation with ~50% lower production continues in Oct-Dec25 (at last year's consumt&import), gas storage would be depleted by March 2026.

Russia extended its gasoline export ban for another six months. Background: In 2024 at least 10 large Russian refineries were hit by Ukrainian drones. In 2025 Ukraine attacked 27 Russian fuel and energy facilities. As a result, Russia's refining volumes fell to a 12-year low of 267 million tons.

In 2004, the average time was about 1 year, which is marked on the graph. A downward trend shows significant decreases in installation time over the years. By 2010, it took under 30 days, and by 2015, just over 7 days. The most notable point is in 2023, where it dropped to about 1 day on average for installation.
