I just started going to watercolour painting classes and learning how to do that for the first time this month, and it’s honestly so much fun! I don’t need to be perfect, I’m just happy to give it a shot!

Finally finished The Traitor and the Wretch, and I cannot recommend it more. Literally smiling with every new chapter (even the ones that gut-punched, or made me want to knock their heads together), and it’s so satisfying!!

On such a dreary autumn day, the air slouched more than usual in its perpetual fog over the puddle-and-stone-pocked hills. A touch of smoke lingered through the damp scent. My cheeks were wet with tears, but I stayed otherwise dry under the sturdy umbrellas held above me, prettily patterned in black and grey. Don’t believe their owners in their fine silk capes and delicate gloves pinned with gold rings would have offered me shelter except unintentionally. I was a prop after all, of no real consequence, and long accustomed to such treatment.
