Last Thursday, I defended my PhD and it was an amazing experience 💐 I am proud and very grateful! I can’t wait to continue working with the ideas and knowledge that have come out of this PhD. The dissertation focuses on the role of friendships with the ethnic majority for immigrants integration 🧵

Shortly before Christmas, my research stay at UC Berkeley came to an end. I already miss the vibrant campus, and not least the Californian weather! Thanks to Prof. Irene Bloemraad, IES and the Berkeley Interdisciplinary Migration Initiative for making it a rewarding and memorable stay.
